You know what? there are many kinds of meds and many different levels of being bi-polar. I have had problems with depression and so I do take anti depression meds. They totally even me out. When I have stopped for what ever reason my feelings become really...I don't know...elliptical. I HAVE TO TAKE THEM and I know it. I know a lot of people who are bi-polar. Some are dilusional which involve really strong meds. there are side effects but I personally SEE with them that their lives are better functioning than without. they just don't realize it because they are so chemically imbalanced. the crazy becomes their norm. Personally if you are truely bi-polar (probably not have been most of your life) there are many different modalities to look at. I think the last one or even don't put it on the list would be to be involved in religion. that can really throw you off... for ever. I don't know how old you are or when you were diagnosed but it's not the end of the world. It's just another thing to deal with...like having to wear glasses to see. You want to wander around blind because you refuse to accept you cant see? It's your choice but just go slow and gather information. Invest and advocate in yourself.

If you are as ancient as me the old green songbook was okay. Actually written in 4 part harmony (there used to be choirs at the assemblies). then the Brown songbook came out. Keys that most people would never be able to sing in. Don't know anything about anything newer. The society is not about any "feeling". It's dead, remote, legalistic and that is not what music is about.

Constantine's Sword
by Band on the Run inhas anyone read this book?
i borrowed it from the lbrary b/c i thought it would be about the doctrinal and political changes when christianity became established but it is about christianity and antisemitism.
it seems a good read so far but it is a thick book..

I read it. It was a hard read. If you want to know the beginnings of what is now called Christianity it is the book for you.

What Was Nathan Knorr Like Compared To The Other Presidents?
by AvocadoJake inbrother knorr is rarely mentioned in the awake or watchtower and i don't really know much about him.
is there a reason why brother knorr does not receive as much mention as brother russell, rutherford or even frantz?
can you help me understand why he was like?

I actually met him once when I was a pre-teen. Nothing. I do remember an elder asking me once why I thought the gov bod at that time all had German names. Didn't know what to think about that. Knorr was just boring.

A teeny bit at first because I didn't want anyone to smack my mom in the face with it. Now she is gone and they have no power at all...really, they never did....it was all in MY head.

You are W.A.W.
by designs inthe latest moniker to describe us is making the rounds at a circuit assembly near you: w.a.w.
wicked apostate worldlings.. sat through a saturday circuit assembly, haven't been to one in years, stunningly it was a mix of deja vu and cloistered brainwashing.
deja vu in that the talks could have come from 1966, nothing has changed about the end being near, and harsher with respect to family who are not jws.

Perpetual Cognitive Dissonance
by sabastious inrevelation 7:9nwt - after these things i saw, and, look!
a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of allnations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.. every year, as an adolescent witness, i would eagerly await the arrival of the annual "watchtower world report" issue to come out.
it had always bugged me that we were not in all the lands even though purporting to be the one and only "great crowd" decribed in the verse above.
