Has anyone read this book? I borrowed it from the lbrary b/c I thought it would be about the doctrinal and political changes when Christianity became established but it is about Christianity and antisemitism. It seems a good read so far but it is a thick book.

I read it. It was a hard read. If you want to know the beginnings of what is now called Christianity it is the book for you.

Yes, it is a very hard read. The author focuses so much attention on his own particular experience. I keep waiting for him to set out a chronological history of how the Church became not Jewish and very oppposed to Jews. He could have attached his resume as an appendix. I may labor on b/c he makes good points -- when you can find them.
