i have not written any of these people for at least two years.

Hiding money away into various corporations does not stop a determined litigant from recovering damages though it costs !. In the UK (and in the US i think) there is the concept of tracing whereby if a corporation and or individual tries to hide assets, they can be traced and seized. If it can it can be shown that the corporate mind tried to do so with the intention of stopping them being seized. It can also be construed as a tacit admission of guilt.

you'd think over the years that there must have been some good-hearted righteous elders disgusted enough to disobey the society and anonymously contact the authorities .. i would have and i know elders now that would!.

I hope so. An old and valued friend if mine used to be an elder, and both he and I think that the stance taken by the society on this issue leaves individual elders who know about abuse very exposed to a tortious action - legal action

What a delicious thread with lots of ambiguity and Irony! I love the fact that you pointed out that by the time Russell had reached 24 he had committed apostasy 3 times ( I think i counted correctly)!!! He had a furtive and inquiring mind
What is a delicious irony is that by posting here we viewed as apostates!! lol. Would Russell be for against us? i sense indifference as he always had his own agenda

i grew up as a jehovah's witness.
my mother was uneducated and so we moved every 2-4 years as she tried to find stable enough work to support a child so ive attended many kingdom halls and have known many witnesses and many elders.
i've never gone back to the witness organization and never will.

I agree that most JW's are good people ( i am married to one and have a 14y JW daughter), the problem is how the wts coerces people.
As an example if my wife understood i posted her would she view me as apostate? What would happen to my Family? See my point
The wts policies are pernicious and caustic.
The wts policy on sex offenders is designed to protect them and not the victims. I have personal experience of this.
Most people here are not whiners, we are here because by definition we come from the same place.

What is at issue are the policies and mind control of the wts ( amongst other things). i will give you one example, If wife was aware that I posted here she would view me as an apostate , what then happens to my family?.
A lot of us post here also because it is easier to converse with people who understand what we have left..
I know of 2 sex abusers and know their victims in old cong . What is at issue is the attitude of the wts, they deal with it by obfuscation. The policies that they have are more to protect themselves rather than the victims. which is totally the wrong way round.
I agree leaving is very liberating.

I believe u have children still at home that is a complication to, I have a jw wife and daughter to plus 2 non jw sons. I have no been to meetings for 7or 8 years. I have not done any strategic planning either. For me it sought of works, but is not easy.
