I am not one of the flag waving duds that think the US is utopia.I do think we have done many horrible things and our government has some coruption in it, but who dose not.The world needs a scapegoat and a fallguy and america has been elected.If a country is poor and in dire straights ,blame the US.Instead of people in that country trying to change their lot in life, blame the US, hope for aid, and rely on other contries to bail you out, militarily and ecomomicly.Sure the US has had a role in helping to cause some of the problems,but the countries and their people bear most of their own fate.It is always easier to blame others than to try to slove your problems.

I also find it funny how euorpeans magicly pass on bashing russia and china.Russia and china have murdured more of their people than any other contries in all of history.Russia has stoped its genocide but china continues to add to its total.Mabey china isint bashed because its no fun to bash them.They dont care what some stupid little contry in euorpe thinks of them.

I always find it amusing how some euoropean nations continualy critisize the us military while they relie on the british to protect them.I think the US should pull back from some of its conflicts and let some other nation deal with it.The euopeans should have solved the bosnia problem, it was in your back yard.You should be whineing to the french,british and the russians to help out more but you know they wont becasuse they need to concentrate on themselves, whitch is exactly what the US needs to do.

almost 100% of such prophecy was in error.. it seems though, that they got a date right by foretelling that 1914 would be "the end of the world as we know it".
yes, they changed the meaning of 1914 several times.

i wonder if this is the pattern with most other congregations.

I belive it.Most jws are lukewarm anyway.In most congos there is a very small group of die hards and the rest are the 5 hour or below pubs or people only in for the social or family ties.Most never read any of the mags or books.The org would like the world to think that their members are most zelous in the world but that is a myth.

006 you hit the nail on the head in your first post.If people want to belive in these fables they are welcome to do so.But for ME I cant take a book that reads like mother goose very seriously.As Bill Mare said "the bible reads like a mad lib, god made eve from a [noun] rib."To me its just a book that barrowed fabels from other cultures.

Flood Legends "Proof" of Global Flood...

thrust of the articles is first to show that the flood was a real, earthwide event, and then to scare ignorant readers into accepting the jw message by claiming that our world is about to undergo a similar divine punishment.
pretty standard fare for long time jw observers.. in the past the watchtower society has published extensive material purporting to show that a global flood occurred a few thousand years ago.

I just love hearing people try to argue that the flood really happend.Lets take some isrealite fables and argue them as fact.I take great offence at people who ridicule MY holy book written by asop.Did you know that at some point in history a hare and a tortise did indeed have a race.And other cultures have simalar storys,that just proves the divine in asops scriptures.There are scientists who say it is possible for a hare and a tortise to have a race, and just last week the bones of a hare and a tortise were found in the same feild.In light of all this scientific evadence is a wonder why people dont belive in asops scriptures.They just need some more faith I think.
