I have a record.....
I am not even baptized.....(I cannot get approved, and I am ineligible because of the 2nd question)
Mine has outrageous accusations! How do I know? We had a very young (27) elder move to town ( this is highly unusual), he decided to read up on all of us. He thought mine was a practical joke and showed me.
Seeing the musings of an old pompous windbag..........PRICELESS

A Future Tipping Point?
by metatron incurrently, congregations in the us might have an average of less than 5 elders each.
a large number of elders are debilitated by age or chronic illness.
in addition, i knew of many elders.

Ahh the great "man" shortage. I remember this from the 70's when there was the mass exodus. At last "Jehovah will sustain us". They will just choose younger men who will do as they are told.

Talk to your Ex and see if he wants you there? If this is all for your son, then make arrangements to be there for the beginning or the end (dropping off son or picking up). Schmooze for 5-10 minutes then make your exit.
Gifts:.....Gift Basket filled with a Blender, Tequila, Bucket-o-Margarita Mix and glasses for 2!
LOL. Sorry thats my standard gift for housewarmings.

Times like these make me glad I married a non-JW! I never could fathom, when the Borg says such stuff! Even more dumbfounding, the amount of people you follow such timely "advice".

Mind Warping

No! The WTBS's motto is "to thine self be true".

The Average JW WILL NOT Leave!!!!
by minimus inyou could have stupid new light every week published and the vast majority aren't going anywhere.
you could see proof of contradiction after contradiction right in front of your nose, if you're a witness.
and you still won't budge.. the reason: mental and spiritual laziness.

I will be the here and dissent, I am neither lazy, fearful, vain, nor dumb. I stay because I like not having trinity, immortal soul, hell...etc...etc. If there was a reasonably similar religion that was available, I and many others would happily defect. I stay because, you guessed it; "Where will I go".

Personal experiences...
by *summer* inhave been reading so much on this site...it is not even funny anymore.
i am now into "the best of"...a gold mine of personal experiences!
while reading, a question often comes to mind.

did your personal experience with the JWs also kill your belief in Jehovah, Christ, and the Bible?
No, but it did confirm my observations of men and their interpretations of Jehovah, Christ and the Bible.
Men are imperfect, their interpretation, are just that, an opinion. Until Jesus comes and sets-up his kingdom, no man, no organization, nor any human being will achieve "true worship". I think it is all about heart condition, and earnest desire for Jehovah and his will. God provided us with Jesus, through Jesus we have the Word of God, we have the mediation to God, and we have the redemption to God. Yes, while it is good to have Christian fellowship, the WT was never orginally intended for anything but a topical supplement to studying the Scriptures. Instead all revolve around it, and it's publishing firm, as it has set itself up as mediator to Christ and Jehovah for the masses.
(1Cor 7:23) "YOU were bought with a price; stop becoming slaves of men"

I am stupid...
by metaspy ini just thought i would give a little update on my fade.. for starters, i found a new job and will be starting soon.. secondly, i found the job far enough away that a move to a new apartment is necessary.. thus i have achieved two of the major parts of my fade at once.. i will not be working for a brother, nor renting from one.. .
however, another part of my fade is my wanting to get out zelda, the girl i have loved for quite some time.. recently she tried to commit suicide again.. i have gone to see her every day since she went into the hospital.. this is more than i can say of the brother she is courting.. .
her mother is df'd, we shall call her kairi.

I think your intentions are romantic and noble, but is Zelda really in a place or will be in a place next year for a relationship? Attempted suicide is serious enough but to attempt again, she needs lenghty help of professionals. She needs time to learn new coping skills, to implement those therapies, and to establish her true self. If you really want a relationship with her, be her friend right now, she needs a romantic attachment like a hole in the head. In the mean time, get yourself set up, decorate the new digs, put some $$$$ in savings, look at online college courses....prepare for your new life, becoming whom ever you become. If it was "meant to be" then let that be when yall are balanced, stable, and really ready.
