Thank you FRJPRICE for your clarification. My cousins are Catholic and it is being taught as I quoted above in their parish.

Im confused about the Trinity, and who believes it Help please
by WingCommander injust to recap, ive had a nice baptist pastor stopping by my house about once a month for the past 8 months.a very kind soul, we always have the most interesting discussions.him learning about how i was raised as a jw and their belief system, and i learning about his being born again, the trinity, heaven, views on armageddon, etc.
it has all been very interesting, me being raised a jw and now hearing what another denomination believes, especially about the 144,000 and why they feel it isn't a literal number.
also, i am on his regular "field ministry,", and this is shocking to me as i was always taught the other religions don't go door to door like us, with the exception of mormons - lds.. anyway, he made the comment to me that very view christian denominations did not believe in the trinity.he stated that really only small handful of denominations such as jws, mormons, and a few other cultic types dont accept the trinity.this was shocking to me, because asjw i always believed most everyone outside of catholicism and lutheranism believed as jw did, that jesus was gods son, and a totally separate created being.

A coup against the Watchtower?
by Dead Man Joaquin ini believe that if enough "anointed" get fed up with the hypocrisy of the leadership, a coup may be likely if not inevitable.. .
what i've been wondering is: how would such a scenario play out in real life?
i'm sure we can agree that all the organizational power ultimately rests in the hands of the eleven little men in brooklyn known collectively as the governing body.

A summary of the last 10 years?
by Erace ini have been df'd for just over 10 years and really haven't thought much about the religion since, except for the fear dying in armageddon.
one of my family members has been bugging me the last year or so to come back and that is what started my research and why i found this sight.
of course, after doing about 15 minutes of research, i realized how crazy i was raised and how nobody that is a witness today has any idea of where this religion came from.

My Brief: Franz stopped being the "Prophet" while in 80's, the zeal is gone. The GB spiritually is just drifting as time continues to march on, much like a majority of the R&F. The WTBS corporately is engaged in international affairs, various corporations, real estate and investments as a means of revenue.
There appears to be a struggle going on but has yet to be revealed
Evidence: Clamp down on media consumption, higher education and encouraging hatred of the Df-ed.
Makes you wonder if another GB is stepping down and writing a book

It is true that most other "Christian" religions profess Trinity. That said most cannot explain it and find it to be just one of those "mysteries" of God. (google Trinity or Godhead)
When it was finally explained to me it was described that I could be an Aunt, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, Mother, and Wife without being 6 different beings. Of course the Pastor couldn't explain how I could possible by my own mother and daughter at the same time.
I suggest you do some research on the debates of the decree. The decision to pursue Trinity was by vote.
I also suggest you read many different translations of the Bible, and Interlinears (avoid Westcott-Hort due to the fact that they claim "medium" abilities. (the WTBS has used them as referrence as well as Gerber)
I personally still reject Trinity. The Bible says Jesus was "begotten" hence Jah begat him. Consider reading Col 1:15-20 (ignore any brackets with the word OTHER in the NWT) by means of him (Jesus) all things were created. I am sure you remember Jesus is the Masterworker. So this will explain the Alpha and Omega too. It can help us to appreciate why he was willing to be the sacrifice, not only because of his love for his father but also because of his shared love for us. We are made in their image (Jah and Jesus)!
Also consider this: The Vatican now is down playing HELL, saying it is not a fiery inferno but the state of being away from God. There are starting to be doctorial shifts among Christendom, Trinity may be soon changing too (the SB will be one of the last to change)
The where do we go? What other "Christian" religions reject Trinity, has been the reason most stay JWs. The only other monothesis' are Judiasm and Islam. Interestingly there are still a handful of Russell's Bible Students you can google.
Finally: Sir Isaac Newton did not believe in Trinity but due to fear of "disfellowshiping" he did not profess it until postmortem via his last book.

Another brilliant idea..
Forget publishing, develope a hypnotic Dvd and Audio presentations: Play them to Members and at public witnessing sites. Advertise them on TV like the Mormons, Send them to colleges with Religion history courses, send them to everyone!....TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!!!!
Messages
Join, donate, praise organization, convert others, talk about spiritual paradise constantly, and stay faithful to the FDS until death.

Why have Kingdom Halls? Why not just build an office complex, keeping a conference area for JW's and renting out the rest.
Why not just meet in a public park for picnic Sunday service: It can be billed as a "public witness"
Bookstudy- all private homes
TMS- Office (members only)
Now the electric & water bill is less, mortgage is paid by tenents.

Yes, but it was only for a very short period. I had brought the groceries in, instead of going back out and getting my sleeping son (then 3mo), I started to put the groceries away. I finished the cold items (I unload them first always) and then remembered! The windows were open and luckily it was a breezy Fall day. Our state had just started a "backseat" campaign, this was the first time I had tried it.
I understand advocates of the "back to the backseat" however I know many mothers that have almost gotten into accidents because they were constantly glancing at the "backseat mirror" or from craning there necks in order to hear a child speak from the backseat.
I would like to point out that while the risk increases with children riding in the frontseat, the ability to converse and to interact with your child increases too (overrides for airbags are available from dealerships). My children like to ask lots of questions and to make observations about the cloud shapes. It has been a wonderful time watching and hearing their minds grow.
Since I can be "outta site, outta mind" person, currently my 3 year old sits up front and my 8 year old (in a booster seat until 80lbs) sits where she can see best depending on the day. Both know how to unlatch their carseats and how to operate the locks, windows, and doors.

This is so sad, I am so sorry. Please remember when she needs an ear to lend one, a good friend can be a saving grace at times of loss.
I agree with Nrvgnbk that it is a trained response. In the Baptist community instead they say
"He is with the Lord now, he is no longer suffering, and is surely smiling down on us now."
"Jesus must have an important task for him to be taken so soon"
Much like your husbands comments these are not really comforting but are meant to be. They are meant to lessen the loss with hope. Most don't know what to say when losses like these occur.
