So, it happened. Packed my things and left
by aligot ripounsous insome may remember, i wrote on an other thread that elders forbade me to give comments at the wt meeting, as i weaken the brothers' faith.
i wasn't satisfied with this outcome and, 10 days ago i sat with my wife on the front part of the kh (like in many khs, attendants pack on the back seats), in the middle of the row, right in front of the wt elder, and raised my hand insistently.
i was of course openly ignored but i didn't care, all that i wanted was verybody to see how they deal with independent members.

I just thought of another really stupid thing I was told. Recovering from a miscarriage, my wife and I were corrected when we expressed our hope in seeing our lost child in the resurrection. We were told by two elders, "no Sara will not be resurrected, she never took her first breath, so in God’s eyes she was never a living soul”. L

Re-read what I said, sorry it was meant to be humorous. I too understand what theory is. My feeble attempt at humor was based on knowing that (most) people regard a theory as less then a fact, contrasted with it’s usage in science as the explanation of the fact. Hence evolution, as you indicated, is indeed BOTH THEORY AND FACT, just like gravity.

I recommend only one book; a dictionary. All other books ever written can be found within; you just need to string the words together properly to read it. ;-)

That I had to make a choice between regular meeting attendance, and properly providing for my wife and children, meeting attendance somehow being more important. This was the turning point; I remember the day exactly:

The likely suspect in the case of viruses is Satan. How do we know this, because the watchtower society gives us insight into such matters. Here is some wisdom from the Golden Age:

The Japanese beetle is said to be, at this time, our country's worst pest.... Perhaps the devil made this one, too; it looks like his work...
Probably the Lord made some of the useful insects. No doubt the devil made some of the others. The Lord is the better architect...
It’s not hard to extrapolate that the same devil that made the disease carriers also made the diseases themselves.

I was not raised in the Lie, but yes becoming a fool for the tower did cost me big $$$.
It caused me to turn down a very high paying engineering position in the aerospace industry because a portion of the work was defense related at a time I was desperately in need of income. Instead I became a TV / VCR repairman deeply in debt. Years later after struggling to provide for my family, I was offered my dream job, (NASA engineer / security specialist). It was a test; the elders said I had to make a choice between providing for my family at the cost of irregular meeting attendance, or regular meeting attendance, while my family suffered. A choice between my dream job of developing and testing security systems of billion dollar satellites such as the Hubble, or cleaning out cockroaches from the inside of witnesses TV sets.
I made the choice on July 4 th 1987, that was my independence day, and I have no regrets!
This cult robs you of your hopes, your dreams, and sometimes even your life. I thank God each and every day that he has led me out of evil cult; it is now my mission to help others become free of its clutches.
