i just read the aug km again on reborns post.
i noticed that they did not include what to do if they come upon a disfellowshipped or disassociated person who is stranded and in need of help.
this had been previously covered with this same material the last that i remember.
"If he were in a life-threatening situation and he needed help, we'd help, but we're not going to socialize with him," Stockwell said. "If he were broken down on the side of the road, we'd help him."

the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.

i was going along fine with my glass of ice tea, my cat sitting next to me as bill and the two young ladies were being interviewed.
i even made it okay through the first section of the wt comment that, "we abhor molestation..." but when chung got to the part of their comment that said something to the effect of "we provide counseling and emotional support to victims," i nearly spilled my tea on my cat.
i replayed this segment alot, and noticed that the reaction of bill and the two ladies to that section was that they were just as shocked as i was.
Yes, I was appalled when I heard the statement about support and counseling. What a crock!

i watched connie chung last nite with a non-witness friend.
she suggested that the reason the abuse is covered up and brushed aside is because it largely involves girls who are molested.. i know the society is homophobic, so there would be very little male to male contact.
since little girls can't grow up to be elders, and are second class citizens in the org, could this be a possibility?.

i remember you told me about this in an email and i cant imagine the pain you must be feeling on this day.
my mother committed suicide on september 15, 1985 and that day always brings up the pain as if it were yesterday.
