I feel I've really progressed in the last six months. I'm not as bitter as many here so I don't deal with anger or resentment issues, but I am questioning my belief in God. I have already completely lost all faith in any organized religion. It's a continuing journey. But I feel much happier now and an enormous weight of guilt has been taken from my shoulders. I look at the future with alot more optimism. For me and for my children. And I feel excited about getting on with the next chapter.

I like dark haired guys. Although I also like some grey in some men. Looks very sexy. I love brown eyes. As far as build, I tend to be more drawn towards thicker stout men taller than myself. Athletic build...And probably of italian or spanish descent.

I've also seen it go both ways. I think it depends more on the jc committee than anything else. Which elders you got...Probably has alot to do with how active your family is and the influence in the congregation that they have.

Do Witnesses Care About Chronology Anymore?
by minimus inlet's say christ threw the devil out in 1914, so what?
does 1914 have any real signifance to a jehovah's witness anymore?
all i can see is that "this proves we're living in the last days of the last days".

Chronology stopped being important once they changed their policy on the generation thing. I mean, their was a selfish side to learning it. Figuring out how many years till Armageddon....Not because their was a love of numbers or something..ha!!

Are Some Witnesses Becoming Scary?
by metatron inperhaps many of you are out of touch with large numbers of witnesses.
i think it is fair to say that.
much of the 'fire' has gone out of them, in recent years.

Yes I also noticed this ALOT!!! The fanatical unbalanced JW's (elders, co's etc) are always the ones that end up getting DF'ed. Usually for the very thing they bothered others about. Porn, inmorality....
I think that people who turn apostate are actually that are probably the most sincere christian-like people. When asked to constantly judge and criticize others we can't because our love for people as a whole is too great. Not really good for someone who is in a religion that thinks everyone will die except them.

When I read your post I almost thought you were one of my family..LOL!!! but I guess that would be too much....Needless to say I can relate with so much of your story...But I also hate the whole holiday hiding aspect..My kids were asking me who could come to their birthday party and of course none of the family (aunts, uncles, grandma) can...so....I'm glad you have found what your child is adept with and what he likes. I am also doing the same with mine. I stopped going to the meetings after being very irregular almost all my adult life. That was almost a year ago.
