the governing body has much control over the lives, thoughts, actions, etc..of many.
i was thinking of the "new light" policy and this gives the gb virtually unlimited power to do what they want.. take this for instance: we know how doctrines such as no trinity, no hellfire, and no immortal soul, are all considered the core beliefs that will never change.
lets just that today the gb just happens to reverse them all...what would happen?
I think the GB are very very good at wording it so SLY and sincere, that the R&F lap it up and believe it....
for instance, the generation doctrine change in 1995....
my thoughts were that this new doctrine made more sense than the literal generation of 1914,
so I didn't question it...I was a gullible JW back then
I think if they flipflopped on a major doctrine, they would believe it. That's how brainwashed some of them are.

I was an enthusiastic teenager, regular weekend field service, even though it scared me sh*tless to talk to strangers..
.I would stutter, forget my lines, gawd, it was pathetic.
Then I became more relaxed as I started to rationalize in my mind that I was not there to impress anyone,
just share a scripture and be on my way. People liked that, and I didn't care if I placed magazines or not...
funny, I remember thinking that placing magazines was weird for a religion professing to warn others, (funny Jesus didn't bring ANY printed material on his sermons..)...
it felt to me like the main purpose was to get time in placing magazines... gee, i wonder why?? and this was 10 years BEFORE I started to give my doubts a second thought.

They, the Society, are afraid of anyone seeing a therapist, because the therapist might wake up the JW patient to the fact that they are being brainwashed by a high control group pretending to be a religion.
usually mid afternoon, even ten minutes can rejuvenate.
if only more employers realized that employee productivity and work quality would be improved with a 30 min siesta.. i can grab a nap just about anywhere.
when i was traveling by air a lot i could fall asleep during take off.
Naps are like quenching your thirst on a hot day with cold fresh water.
