…it was bullshit, every last bit of it... the wiccan spells and potions, the Christian guilt-trip-deluxe, the Jewish list of rules for everything and then some, and all the other religions that purport to have the right way to live. Just nothing, nothing at all, but bullshit. Bullshit that had been perpetrated upon poor unsuspecting, uneducated, gullible mankind for ages and ages.
COMF your comments sound eerily familiar with what I understand Chuck T. Russell was trying to express over a hundred years ago when he helped develop a rudimentary antithesis of corporate religious thinking for his day.
Chuck simply neglected to apply his own epiphany to himself and his publications, which mean his thought processes were tainted from the very beginning and his little magazine instantly, became the very thing it argued against.
By then the money must have begun to flow in a positively demonstrative stream and no one in the organization had the guts to speak the truth and turn off the tap.

first, id like to thank the many posters on this board (and the old h2o) who made my exiting passage through the entrapping maze of wt ideology a relatively expeditious and much less painful possibility then it would have been otherwise.

Absolution is only a ‘magazine’ placement away. If my “old world” community 'chooses' to turn down the offer, it’s like the ‘Curse of the Cat People’, their decision to reject an obscure, ambiguous and convoluted WTBTS publication is now on the 'rejects' head. Voila! instant absolution for publisher Bro. Prince.
Nuts!...but I still enjoy some of his music, you'd think Mike would clue in Prince by slapping some sense into him.

these are some observations about genuine hatred and imaginary hatred as it exists in the ever-goofy mindset of the watchtower organization.
many thanks to jwd for getting me to think about this matter in yet another way.. firstly, the evidence that jws actually do hate not only the deeds, but the people who commit deeds they deem wrong is abundant.
there are many, many web pages dedicated to this subject, and dozens of wts quotes to draw from.
I used to think the WTB&TS was just ignorant. Now I think they are evil, sinful, and iniquitous. On purpose.
Francoise, maybe so, however in the real world, most would refer to the methods of WTBTS simply as corporate marketing. The likes of which are commonly found in virtually any political, commercial or religious enterprise.
No evidence of cosmic significance surrounding the WTBTS at all other than its own vitriolic foam. But the one undisputed fact is; the corporation has significant accumulated assets to protect and a possible cause for any iniquitousness.
Not that that’s a bad thing, hopefully the WTBTS will spend more time tending to their current financial accomplishments and feel less of a need to subject my siblings, who remain Jehovah’s Witness to misinformation for the WTBTS corporations financial sake.

hi i work with a smart, sexy, single jw who i get a along with great and over the years i've developed enormous affection for her.
based on this i don't want to do anything to hurt her.
i am not a witness and though i would like to pursue her romantically my sense is if she were to accept my overtures it could ruin her life since her family is very involved in witnessing and close association with one such as me could lead to reprimands for her.. my question is this.
