  i can't believe it's all a sham!

  remember before i was baptized, i wondered onto a hostile site and felt a sickening dread, when i confronted the sister who studied with me she reassured me that i shouldn't worry, all the stuff on those sites are written by bitter outcasts who have nothing constructive to offer, "after all", she said, ""did you ever read anything upbuilding there?

  I feel no anger or bitterness, and JWs are not stupid, just misdirected.

  Vienna, misdirection didn't happen on it's own. How do you feel about the WTB&TS Corporation and the direction, by those who run it, steer Jehovah's Witnesses?

  I agree that all of us should contemplate more positive issues and discuss those here more.

  Unfortunately joel, we'd have to disregard the WTB&TS as a subject and change "Jehovahs-Witness.com" as the name for the url...maybe...to something like..."Ignorethefactsaslongaseveryoneishappy.Com"

  Revealing the under-belly of the WTB&TS Corporation is a disheartening task at best.

  The discussion of which is partly made palpable because of the levity generated by many creative current and former Jehovah's Witnesses who haven't, as yet, forsaken their sense of humor.

  one newly appointed elder said: "i never realised how much work and pressure i would be under.".

  elders are pressured from the society who use the medium of the co visit as well as letters from the branch office.

  this pressure may even be termed pressurising.

  A brother giving the talk. His zipper was down. A brother in the audience was trying to surreptiously let him know it was down, Finally the brother giving the talk realizes it's down so he turns around from the audience to put his zipper up and when he turns back to face the audience he had zipped his necktie in his zipper, and couldn't standup straight.

  an awake article from the late 60s got me thinking about this subject seriously for the first time - yup i know, the awake!

  it was about two tribes of chimp on haiti (iirc).

  does any one else remember this article, or have it to hand?

I happen to think dogs can make wonderful pets and I’m feed up with your clapper-clawed insinuations when you compare the lovable canine breed to knotty-pated, pink Cadillac driving dread-bolts, who wear huge slap-mouthed floppy hats, big dark sunglass, loads of milk-livered gold jewelry and leather or fur coats over their dewberry pastel colored polyester pignut leisure suits. Who during all hours of the night tend to their ill-begotten money making stable of rump-fed hoo…hey!…wait a minute…you meant… ‘chimps’…

  Let us not just focus on our self and all the bad and dark thoughts - they will just eat us up from inside - instead let's give life a chance.

  Although I appreciate Beroea (anonymous) taking the time to express his heartfelt angst, It’s my impression this individuals mistakes posts that appear to exhibit ‘anger’ and ‘hate’, with the freedom to articulate personal opinions and experiences regarding our personal histories as Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as openly divulging and discussing the possible existence of myth and disinformation propagated by the WTB&TS.

  Silence and Ignorance, is not…life, in my opinion.

  …recent appeal for financial support, seen on television’s Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). For a monetary offering viewers would be sent an ornament that was usable either as the centerpiece of a Christmas table or for decorating the tree.

  I could imagine those ‘pumping’ the WTB&TS “Planned Giving Desk” squirming because they didn’t think of doing something similar first. Like after all the financial legalities were completed, sending out little “Jehovah globes” that you hold upside down and once right side up again, it snows.

  A Tasty Lil Bit O' Gossip.

  here's a picture of the late sir john fieldhouse during his time as an admiral in the royal navy.

  he later became first sea lord and was in charge of operations during the falklands war when england and argentina slugged it out in the south atlantic back in '82.

  his wife shown here is lady fieldhouse - known to her friends as midge - who is a very active jehovahs witness residing in lee on solent, near portsmouth.

  Englishman, what discreet courtesies, if any, were shown Lady Fieldhouse (Midge) in an effort to avoid abject embarrassment, considering her notoriety as a Jehovah’s Witness, for herself and those in attendance during official functions which always perform patriotic flourishes, such as, God Save the Queen, etc. that I was not afforded during similar circumstances as a child and Jehovah’s Witness, then having to endure the scorn of my peers for years so Jehovah’s Name may be sanctified?

  Or, because of her "leverage" did she "play" it both ways without social repercussion from either peer group?
