Alaska adding to US publisher #'s?
by JWdaughter inthere was a mention elsewhere of the ways that the jws are getting their #'s to go up.
one such mention was that now alaska is counted with the rest of the us.

As an aside, I was showing the Proclaimers book to the study conductor, and it has lots of pages of various WT real estate. The Alaska pic was a tightly cropped front door. I laughed, because I have been there. Majestic place. Not many people. Maybe 600,000 in the whole state. It is huge so they are spread out a lot. Figuring a proportionate JW population, 4000-6000 statewide? So the headquarters was perhaps a tiny storefront and they did not want to show the whole building so they cropped it.

Time for the faithful to gather and line up for the Pleiades Express mothership.
Only JayDubs in good standing will be allowed on board, and your ticket will be checked at the door.

Don't forget, he released all those freshwater fish he kept in aquariums since they would not survive a salt water flood. They somehow swam across seas to all continents. Yes, they did.

What's with Ex-Jw's who join another religion? Fool me Twice????
by Witness 007 insorry no offense but why do some ex-witnesses here join another group....we have a muslim {muhamed was given a koran by an angel in a cave?
}....we have some baptists etc......i researched the bible and found there are 1,000's of gospels not part of the bible...so what's the deal...."fool me once shame on you..fool me twice shame on me" or do you have a reason for continued belief in religion...i really wan't to know since iam agnostic and don't believe in god or evolution????

Don't you get it? Some people need a religion to help make sense of things. When JW quit working they seek another to fill the void. It is not a matter of fooling anyone. It is a need that seeks a framework of belief.

A portable laptop here. Usually on my lap, on the sofa. I take it out under the pepper tree when the study conductor shows up. I have an interlinear and old WT publications I show him on this.
Finished Mystery, anyone?
It goes in the bag and I take it to the mountains to show the latest sky photos from my telescope. -

Hook Lines or Phrases Jehovah's Witnesses Use to Control You
by flipper into control a person, or control a group of people , any cult , including jehovah's witnesses , have to gain your trust that they are the authority on what you need to know.
even people have been known to use these " catch phrases " to gain trust , or " hook lines " as you'd call them to gain control over groups of people or individually in their own lives.
see if you are familiar with these phrases which empower the sender of the phrase , but demands rapt allegiance from listeners to be the " gospel truth " without challenge , which can take the listeners power away.

I get it.
It would be a public service to tear down every "Kingdom Hall" sign and replace them with "First Congregational Church of Weasel Words". -

Each of us has a path that leads to being here. We have had our challenges. The biggest challenge of all is to transcend what we started with and overcome our programming. Can you do that?
