My aunt watched it recently and that is all she wants to talk about. Her mother was a famous astrologer. I am going to have to watch it again so I can discuss the finer points of it.

45 miles southeast of Patmos, in the same island chain, is Kos.
Kos has very nice magic mushrooms.
I see no reason why they would not grow on Patmos as well.

My personal measuring unit is my body. I routinely measure things against my hand with its various joints and creases, and it works very well.
Metric is very simple to use, especially when doing calculation. It is easy to slide the decimal point to the right or left.
Standard (most Americans don't like calling it Imperial)is superior for everyday household use. It is based on dividing the unit in half, then half again, and so on. Very easy and intuitive to do. Even thirds of a unit are easy to do. The thought of measuring .33333333333 liter? PULEEEZE! -

I think the leaders became sensitive to the charge and decided to include the name "Christian" as a simple refutation. In the last few years, the Watchtower has put more emphasis on Christ even including his name in the assembly themes. But it is difficult for the Watchtower to overcome the inference because many of the attributes of Christ as savior, judge, prophet, etc. are bestowed upon the FDS by its members."
That would be like taking a can of beans and pasting a label over it that says "Peaches" and insisting, "Oh yeah, I got some peaches here, I sure do!" -

I am fascinated with researching religion and culture. Watchtower teachings are a blend of 19th century Adventist, Spiritualist, Masonic teaching, with a generous dash of Rutherford's drunken ramblings.
It is also personal. My study conductor is a humble sincere man, unlike some of the pushy arrogant clods that have showed up at my door in the past. He gets to fill out his time card with something better than people hiding out or being rude. We talk about a lot of things for a couple hours, rarely open a Bible. I have even gotten through with just a token look at WT literature, mostly having conversation. Plus, I ask him stuff that WT literature does not cover, so he has to think about what it is he tells me. -

In "The Finished Mystery", which is the "meat in due season" that the FDS insists gave them the stamp of approval from Jesus in 1919 to speak for him, we are told on page 29:
"Numbers of Christians were tied together and thrown into the sea. Seventeen thousand were slain in one month; and during the continuance of this persecution in Egypt alone 144,000 Christians died by violence, besides 700,000 that died through the fatigues of banishment or the public works to which they were condemned."
This is in the 4th century, that the number of annointed was way beyond being surpassed.

Not sentimental here.
I am suprised a guy would post this.
Sappy songs mean very little to me, as I usually think in concrete terms.
It is really simple. Your child deserves love and guidance. Any deity or organization that put up barriers to this is unworthy of any consideration.
It it takes a song to communicate that to you, I guess that is okay. -
