My 2 cents- start with you and her- no religion, no tablets, no nothing. Tell her how much she means to you, how much you want to be together, etc. Be romantic and try to woo her like before you were dating. But be honest and let her know that your love is independent of the jws. And you cannot be dishonest with yourself about how you feel about them.

Try to connect with her on a human level without all of the cult overhead.

Or open the safe deposit box...

Sorry again for your pain. And forgive me for assuming anything. I'm sure you've tried everything.

i was just talking to my mom a few weeks ago.

she said, out of all her kids, i was the only one she didn't have to worry about as far as spirituality.

i always took a stand for jehovah.. she told when all of her kids were little, she gave us the option of not eating birthday cakes in school.

I think we're missing the point. Who at Bethel would have the clout to make someone not go in service?? The foundational activity of all JWs? Even a reproved murderer can go in service.

WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links

so my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.

also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

The hedge fund losses explain the sudden lack of liquidity. Look for heads to roll in Accounting /Treasurers dept. R3inmuller, Lucci0ne, etc.

it's become obvious in the last few days that the borg is done, done giving one dime over to the membership of the organization.

they know or have been told that it's a waste of time to spend money trying to recruit new members so their cutting all out lays of money in this regard to the bone.

they will continue to spend money where they can make a prophet, keeping the ones in, not thinking and donating.

How do you go from flush to broke in a matter of months? They have been running all over the Hudson Valley spending money like a drunken sailor. Buying apartment complexes, buying land for video production, putting temp workers up in many many hotels across Rockland, Westchester, Dutchess and Orange counties, renting shuttles. They even paid contractors to build a portion of Warwick so it could get done faster.

Then all of a sudden you're broke??? So broke you give your loyal constituents 1 week to get the hell out? So broke that you stop projects? So broke that you can't afford free labor?

Something really bad has happened. I can't wait to find out what it is.

do you ever wonder why out of all the witnesses, you are the one that woke up?

i wonder many times why me.

i know many men and women that are much, much better persons than me; either they are much smarter, more humble, kinder, more successful, or just better persons all around.

Have you ever played the "would I have ever awakened if...." game?

For me, I wonder if I had married someone different, if we didn't have a child, if I never left Bethel, etc. I'd like to hope I would have awakened anyway, but I'm not sure.

Very thankful for where I am though. "I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference"
