  Simple answer- there is an obsession with building at Bethel. Nothing can stay the same for very long. Bethelites are former pioneers- that is former contractors and cleaners- therefore the thing that Bethelites do the best is building and cleaning.

  This is one of those "duh" subjects that makes you realize just how brainwashed you were. Flag salute and national anthem are religious. Duh?? No one thinks that except JWs. Everyone else on the planet sees them as they really are- an expression of loyalty to your homeland. Yeesh.

  The young ones are leaving in droves!!!

  i hear that many congos are loosing all their young dubs and now only very old dubs are left.

  it seems the jws religion is dying out because there are no youngins to replace the aging ms/elder/cos .

  the young dubs are very internet savy and would rather play warcraft than go out in the field circus.. i remember a wt study article a couple of years ago that was entitled" when a young person rebels" or something like that - anyone know that mag?.

  The one commentator seems like she still buys that Bull sh1t. Oh how terrible the world is now- now that we sit on our fat asses and eat fresh food from every corner of the globe and live to be 80 years old on average, and have a higher literacy rate than ever before in human history, and are able to track and fight the next great pestilence. Oh how terrible! The end of the world! We have to fight a war in Afganistan with remote control airplanes where our soldiers never leave the Florida control room.

  (yeesh!- try living in about 1520 if you think this is bad!!!)

  Toxic chemicals used in printing the publications

  i understand that the printing used for the publications - 4 color roto-gravure process - involves toxic chemicals such as zylene, tolulene, benzene, and various others.

  could this be the thinking behind moving the printing to canada?

  environmental issues and associated lawsuits and/or fines, illness and cancers associated with exposure.

  The Katec units on the roof on the Brooklyn factory burn the solvents that would otherwise be exhausted into the air- they do not handle the drums and drums of waste ink, strong solvent and cutting oil that are used to print and clean the presses. This material used to be buried- now it is shipped out as hazardous waste.

  The League of Apostate Pioneers

  recently it's come to my attention that the other teens in my congragation are being pressured by their parents to pioneer.

  the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".

  because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

  My recommendation- don't waste your time. Talk to a guidance counselor and figure out how to get financial aid and get into college. In the long run, it will be much more fulfilling and good for you than any attempt at looking like you're playing by the KH rules. (I wish I had done that!)

  so a good friend of mine e-maild me today with this information.

  aparently brother hurd says as of 2010 all the magazine printing and distribution will be moved to canada.

  the only printing the us will do is the books.
