  Haven't you got anything better to do?

  obviously a lot of you are no longer jws, for whatever reason, but surely you can find something better to do with your time.

  you seem to spend a lot of your spare time slating the society or picking holes in your former beliefs.. if you've left and think what jws believe is a load of rubbish, thtat fine, you cn do what you want, but why you have to go on about it?

  if being a jw means so little to you, why not just leave it behind and get on with your life?

  Thank you both for your fun posts. It helps me remember the time when I didn't have any brain cells working, either.

  In case you weren't aware of this, you didn't offer ONE SINGLE SHRED of any sort of evidence. You just offered your opinions. Well, that may work in dubland, but it doesn't work in here.

  Unless you can back up your opinions with evidence (like most of us can) we will take your opinions, shred them into little pieces, toss them back in your face and then laugh at you.

  We ain't no dummies you meet at the door. Most of us were dubs, and some like myself were dubs for decades. We know all your ruses, and all your games because we played them ourselves.

  We're in the real world now where people actually require facts and logic. You're welcome to stay in your world of non-facts and no logic. That is your choice. But when you step into the real world, you'd better be ready to deal with opponents who know a LOT more about your religion and the Bible than you do.

  i apologize in advance if this has already been discussed here.. at my daughter's pioneer meeting they were told that leaving literature in phone booths and laundromats is "littering".. since when?

  anybody else heard this?.

  Yes, this is true. This is true because leaving WT literature ANYWHERE is littering. Even house-broken cats have the common sense not to use it.

  i just happened on this place a few days ago, and thought i would stop in to see what it was all about.

  it claims to be a jehovah's witness forum, which it is not.. dont want to come here and point fingers, as i am sure there are some good people in here, just seems the bad have followed the good.

  i guess in reality thats always the case, but hey, what else would these people do if they couldn't wage their little war on the truth.

  Harboring a someone who has admitted to committing a crime without justice being served is a criminal act. In fact, it is a felony.

  That makes the WTS felons. Nowadays they are trying to hide behind the cloak of pastoral confidentiality. Yet those bastards claim they have NO clergy! Hypocrites, felons, criminals.

  You are worth a few hundred bucks a year to them. That's all. That's it. There is nothing else. No more. Nada. Zip. Zero.

  Buy their books, sell their books and send them the money from those sales. Go to the assemblies and buy new books. Pay for parking at the assemblies. They get the dough. Buy their tapes, buy their CD's, buy whatever it is that they are selling, and they are happy and will leave you alone. Question anything and they will ruin your life.

  After all, you're only worth a few hundred bucks a year to them, and their are six million others just like you. Each of you are worth a dollar amount to them: in poorer countries you are worth only a few bucks and in richer countries a few hundred bucks. Pioneers are worth perhaps a thousand or so bucks.

  They don't know you, they don't want to know you, they won't help you if you need it, they don't care about you, they don't care about your familiy, they don't care about any of your problems, and they won't give you anything even after you spent forty, fifty, sixty, seventy years of your life in devotion and conformity to them unless you are one of their elite.

  You only worth a few hundred bucks a year to them.

  Get used to it. You are just a dub. And they don't care.

  A guy confessed to the elders that he had committed a murder and had not faced any trial for it.

  The elders wrote the society and asked what to do.

  The society wrote back and said not to tell anyone about it.

  Those are the facts. I'm not trying to be argumentative with you, but you are dealing in speculation, and I'm dealing with the evidence we have.

  If all of those items I outlined were true, do you think the society can be justified for doing what they did?

  Yes, or no, or "I don't know" are all acceptable answers.

  Only four years, huh? Then you don't know squat. Stick around you might learn something about the history of your religion. It will all be quotes from your very own literature, so you can go home or to the hall and verify them.

  If you have half a conscience or an ounce of ethics and integrity then I can guarantee you won't like what you see.

  i have put in my final day at this year's test of posterior endurance---saturday at the district convention, 2001. i took quite a few notes today, because some had specifically asked about saturday's program.

  i hope all will be suitably edified by them.

  do not just listen to bits and pieces of the program, but to the whole thing.

  : As far as meetings went, the TMS and SM were the worst of the worst, in my opinion.

  Especially the Service Meeting. But then again, it's like saying which is worse: having a root canal with not anesthesia or having your fingernails pulled out with pliers while someone is banging on your bare toes with a hammer.
