Doesn't freezing it give it a funky taste? I remember freezing the top layer of my wedding cake (first marriage) and on the 1yr anniversary thawing it and it was horrible! Threw it out. (That should have been a sign right then, but i digress....)

I'd rather make it the day before and have it fresh.

Seriously, The only thing my husband and son ask for is lots of pumpkin pies. I've never made a cake just for x-mas. If you get some good ideas, I may do it though.....

the movie was good, but not as good as i thought it would be.

jim carrey is one of our favorite actors and it being 3d made it pretty cool!

Did anyone else ever play their record albums backwards?

okay, i'm dating myself, record albums and all that, but i remember as a kid in the 80's, everyone was playing their albums backwards looking for some hidden satanic message.

my older brothers got talked into throwing a couple of their moody blues albums away.

anyway, it was all the craze in my hall.

All I can remember as a kid was my dad going all ape shit over a KISS album claiming they were demonic and had hidden messages in their songs. He tore it up, cover too, in front of us 5 kids while screaming! wow!!! lol

just back from lunch and met two different former good friends from my congregation (i live in a small town) and they, of course, turned their backs on me... and it makes me feel strange and bad even though they're the ones who should really feel bad.... how can i learn to ignore it??.

makes me both sad and angry at the same time.

grrrr.

I'm sorry...I used to feel that same way. But then I realized that letting it get to me means they still hold power over me and my happiness!

I agree with what Lisa said, If you try to hide or avoid them, then you are saying yes, I'm a bad person that is feeling guilty. But if you hold your head high and smile and even throw a hand up to wave at them, shows that you are comfortable in your on skin and are happy and don't have to hide or avoid anyone!

It'll take time, but you'll get over letting it get to you as bad!
