  That depends on who you mean by "Jehovah's People"... What it DOES do however, is undermine all the teachings of the Watchtower. It also undermines the doctrine of the Faithful and Discreet Slave dispensing food at the proper time !

  It seems to me that a better illustration would be "dispensing FAST FOOD to fill a gap".

  It sounds harsh, but the facts speak for themselves. What Ninja's excellent clippings don't show is how many people died for rejecting organ transplants between the time that the Society outlawed transplantation and the time that they lifted the ban.

  How is this in keeping with "I desire mercy, not sacrifice" ?

  How is their constant teaching that "the time is at hand" not related to Jesus' warning in Luke 21:8 ?

  I am not aware of such a situation, or if it has happened it must have been fairly minor.

  Radical Protestant Sect of One

  i've been reading "jesus and yahweh: the names divine" by harold bloom, a professor and noted literary critic, and came across a great line which was originally used to describe the religious status of john milton, a 17th century poet.. he is described as a radical protestant sect of one.

  i really like that.

  it pretty much summarizes my current relgious status.. radical: not mainstream.. protestant: not catholic.. sect: offshoot of an established religion.. one: each journey is unique.. i think rpso fits many of the posters here on jwd.. --willy loman (of the rpso class)..

  It's strange though, that we, as Christians,should all be working directly for God, yet so many of us have decided to place the "middle management" of organised religion between God and Man.

  Not an attack on anyone at all, but this seemed like a good place to put it.

  Is there any chance that you could upload your folder here as a PDF or scans - we are all interested.

  here is the challenge.... you are all well versed in watchtower logic and their ability to link bible passages that have no connections, so.... i was wondering whether anyone can post articles or snippets of articles that we could write in wt style to "prove" unlikely beliefs.. a good example would be the "are cats for christians" - however, i am not thinking of anything as long as that.. this will have a serious application - to show by humour that wt logic can be used to prove anything and still make it look scriptural.. any takers ?.
