perhaps there is an additional form that goes along with it as well?

here is the challenge.... you are all well versed in watchtower logic and their ability to link bible passages that have no connections, so.... i was wondering whether anyone can post articles or snippets of articles that we could write in wt style to "prove" unlikely beliefs.. a good example would be the "are cats for christians" - however, i am not thinking of anything as long as that.. this will have a serious application - to show by humour that wt logic can be used to prove anything and still make it look scriptural.. any takers ?.

hello all... ok, i have a question for any takers: deuteronomy 14:21 says this:.
21 "you must not eat any body [already] dead.
so, it is obvious that this is why they could not eat a animal that they found that had died, say from natural causes.
Why is this verse even there? Because in times of distress, for example in war, it might become necessary to eat an animal that had not been slaughtered the kosher-way. Why? To save lives! There were plenty of death-penalties in the OT-law. You couldn`t even yell at your own parents without being taken outside the city gates and stoned. But the law on blood has no death penalty! Only in jw-land.
Totally agree with this above. That fits with the spirit of the Law but I've never been able to get my head round why it was okay to eat "blood laden" meat, if you found the animal dead but not if you killed the animal yourself.
Scavenging in times of distress makes sense, but could they not "in an emergency" if the need arose?Lev 17:15-16 NRSV

This all fits with God "desiring mercy not sacrifice", but this has always been something that I am waiting for a JW to pounce on.

Well, belief has a suspiciously audacious aspect to it. Those who wear belief as a badge of honor seem to always be flailing about trying to post charts that "prove" something.
I think the thing to remember with this thred and the chart in it, is that I posted it here not in an attempt to evangelise the board, but as an aid for those in dialogue with Witnesses. It IS an effective counter-cult tool, that is the reason that a lot of us are here - to help people exit JWism.

Pick up a copy of a new book, "Jesus and Yaweh: The Names Divine" by Harold Bloom. Then draw your own conclusions. Cetnar's view is extremely narrow.

Since JWs believe they teach the only 'truth' they have the responsibility of coming up with reasonable explanations for scriptures which show their doctrine is not in complete harmony with the bible. Clear statements like those found in John 20:28, bring up questions that JWs can't answer. They should be able to answer these if they have teach the bible's absolute 'truth'

Indeed ! If they are the ones bold enough to hand out leaflets saying that God will destroy everyone except them because only they have the truth, the onus is theirs to prove it.
