CC- I tell people that I will send out positive thoughts and hopes to them that their situation gets better- but I never offer to " pray " for them - as I'm agnostic and don't believe in " prayer " . I offer to be there for them if they'd like to talk or need a friend- but I do not believe in the " prayer " thing. I hope your friends family problems get better or their situation gets solved- family problems can eat a person up indeed. I'm glad you can be there for this person as a hearing, sympathetic friend . Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Wow. Very interesting you tube. Good gawd almighty. I keep thinking that I've seen everything there is to see under the sun with the WT Society's unjust mistreatment of it's members - and then this poor ex-Bethelite gets no notice and kicked out of his room with WT reps packing his belongings up - then gets billed for fruit he ate. WTF ? Yep, " God's " loving organization at work indeed. The comparison between Scientology and Jehovah's Witnesses gets greater every day I swear. Both criminal organizations. Sick

Will Watchtower target the inactive?
by ToesUp inif watchtower has no reason to df ones.
they have just become inactive.
do you all think wt will begin a witch hunt (df'ing) for these inactive ones?
-
flipper
Yeah, I think Sail Away nailed the reasons for elders not coming after inactive people. The GB knows that the shunning indoctrination is so heavily put into JW's minds that rank & file JW's WILL shun inactive ones for the most part. I've been officially called " inactive " or haven't attended meetings since 2003- 14 years - and my wife and I have not had any JW call at our house since 2012. It's been over 5 years now. Of course rumor got out that I'd present WT child abuse news printouts to JW's calling at my door - so they didn't like that.
Any JW's that know me have basically tried to shun me, even active JW's in my extended family don't reach out to me- even though I still try to show caring to them. Yep, I'm an " evil " , " wicked " , " bad " apostate who shows more love to JW relatives than they are shown from their own JW church members. Go figure

PHOEBE- Thanks so much for sharing your story with us. You are truly an inspiration in what you've had to overcome. I'm so sorry that you suffered in the JW organization and that your brother abused you. Please know and realize that you are among friends here- many of us who were born-in JW's suffered in silence for years in our various circumstances until finally gaining our freedom of mind. I'm happy for you that you finally attained your freedom ! Good for you. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Freudian slip in last Sunday's WT?
by The Fall Guy ini had this point highlighted to me yesterday by a dyed-in-the-wool j.w.
who is beginning to see cracks in his beloved golden calf of warwick.
so encouraging to hear his disgruntlement with org-related topics.. “many in the christian congregation may not have expected their loved ones to die this side of armageddon.” (july 2017 study wt).

Then again- there's another way of looking at this as a possibility. The very fact that this particular WT writer even PUT that statement , " many Witnesses thought their family members wouldn't die this side of Armageddon " into a WT article - may indicate that someone in the writing committee is on purpose trying to cause doubt to occur within JW's minds who read this. My wife and I have been discussing this possibility for a long time now- that there are probably one or two Bethelites who are awake about TTATT and might be dropping off hints here and there in a subtle- or not so subtle way so as to wake JW's up or at least get them to have doubts. Possibly working from the inside to alert unsuspecting JW's. It seems to have worked on this JW person who you mention in the opening thread. Smart way to wake JW's up in my opinion

Those who DO NOT get a resurrection?
by stuckinarut2 inso we know that by jw logic, the idea is that everyone who dies is acquitted of their sin and will get a resurrection in the "new world".
however, those directly destroyed by god, or at his command will not.
(for example, those destroyed in the flood.

" Those who DO NOT get a resurrection ? "
Then they probably won't get a resurrection. But then again - nobody does- resurrections most probably don't exist. The resurrection " theory " is embedded into religions because most religious people cannot cope with, handle or face their own mortality. Death is a bitch and a reality - just look at every listing of humans that have lived on Ancestry.com - they all have a date of death- not a resurrection. The resurrection is a " plastic life preserver " that deflates once somebody dies- never to be seen again.
The " resurrection " teaching in my opinion is every much a fantasy as " Armageddon " , " everlasting life " , " 144,000 ", " last days of the system of things " , and on and on and on. I much prefer living in the here and now because folks- the here and now may be the only show in town that we get to play a part in ! LOL

How much do you think the internet has hurt JW growth?
by HereIgo inthe internet is what helped bring me and so many others out of this evil organization or at least confirmed our doubts.
i have to say, i have seen quite a few youtube videos recently of ex jw's secretly recording their interactions inside of different congregations, halls, etc and see how empty the halls are!
so many people comment on how the attendance is so low, far more emptier than when i was in 6 years ago, even on a weekday meeting.

PETE- Very well handled by you talking with that JW lady. Isn't it amazing how they just turn off their minds at the hint or sniff of anybody saying that the WT Society might be wrong or mistaken ? They are just like programmed robots- " does not compute, does not compute " - then she walks away . Amazing how the power of mind control and indoctrination is alive and well inside JW's brains and their organization. Good job at trying to crack through it though- she won't forget what you told her. It will be simmering around in her mind like a percolating kettle on the stove ! Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

September 7, 2017 Re: Donations for Disaster Relief Work
by wifibandit inseptember 7, 2017 to all congregations in the united states branch territory re: donations for disaster relief work.
-
flipper
Jeez, this annoys me.
The quote, " It is recommended that all donations.....be made for the worldwide work. "
And this, " Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT maintain a separate fund that is restricted to only assisting one disaster....... " Translation : " WE the WT Society leaders will determine where your donations will go and HOW that money is used and distributed for the " worldwide work . Oh and - did we tell you that SOME of your donations might be going to pay out child abuse lawsuits instead of hurricane victims ? Sorry if we failed to mention that. We're imperfect- so don't hold it against us. Sending our warm Christian love, your brothers WTB&S. "
And this little jewel of a quote, " Indeed, victims of natural disasters need more than material relief. " Bullshit. THAT is the main thing victims of natural disasters need ! MATERIAL RELIEF !
And this quote, " They especially need the comfort that only God's word, the Bible can provide. " Yeah, right. Try telling that to some hurricane victims that are drowning or swimming inside their houses with water moccasins slithering inside their 'used to be ' kitchen cabinets ! What fucking good is a Bible going to do them when they have died and their children and families have their life's possessions ripped out from under them ??? This just infuriates me the callousness of the leaders of the WT Society. It's like the GB members brains are all filled up with crazy glue stuck in neutral forever. Problem is: WT leaders know EXACTLY what they're doing ! Suck money away from the poor for their own purposes using a disaster as a cover for their extortion practices. These WT leaders need to burn in hell I swear
