of course, most of us realize this.

however sometimes even on this board sometimes threads have stated that the jw elders have been occasionally painted as the " fall guys " who take the rap for the wt society leaders - which of course is true - to a degree.

however- that being said , many times elders have failed to protect - or even have failed to advocate for child abuse victims when it has been within their power to do so.

While my computer was being repaired the last 2 weeks I noticed that this thread had been bumped up. Wanted to reply to your takes and opinions.

4THGEN- Good point you make. Isn't it amazing that the pope representing the Catholics has more concern with punishing Bishops who allow child abuse than the WT Society does towards it's own appointed elders allowing child abuse ? It's probably because GB members and upper WT leaders are guilty of child abuse themselves- so it's not a priority to them. GB members in the past were re-appointed elsewhere " on assignment " when found guilty of child abuse. Example : Greenlees, etc. So sick.

LEVEL THEPLAYINGFIELD- I agree with you and I hope you are right. I DO hope this wakes up the authorities in other countries based on what the Royal commission did in Australia- we DEFINITELY need that kind of commission here in the United States to put the WT Society's GB hands to the fire.

TORNINTWO- You make some REALLY good points. I mean it makes NO sense whatsoever for the WT leaders and GB to EVER allow a former child molester to EVER serve as an elder again- but you hit it on the head ; there are too many child molesters in the JW organization- they'd have no elders at all. I'll go one step further - there are too many HIGH RANKING JW appointed men who either are or have been child molesters, possibly on the GB or writing committee or others way up top - THAT is the real reason I believe that the WT Society will not release and continues refusing to release the names of pedophiles within their organization to the courts. Because it would divulge that thousands of elders were promoted and appointed to positions as elders, or C.O.'s or D.O. 's all along even though WT leaders KNEW they had a pedophile past. I think my take is accurate.

FREDDO- Exactly. GB and WT leaders could not care less about the damage JW child abuse victims have suffered- all they care about is the money they'll lose in lawsuits.

VIDIOT- Exactly what Tornintwo said, and what I stated- there are too many high ranking WT officials who are pedophiles and were or are child molesters themselves to risk the courts of the land having the list of names of JW pedophiles. Think about it. Why else would the WT Society be willing to pay 13.5 million $$$$ out to the victim in the Gilbert Lopez child abuse case instead of giving the courts all the names of the JW pedophiles on their database. Must be some pretty damning evidence against WT leaders in that list of names ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

so my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.

also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

As has been mentioned by some here as well- the worldwide child abuse lawsuits that are happening against the WT Society - I'm not just talking Australia, U.S. and England- but worldwide I'm sure is causing some angst among the financial keepers of the power at the top of the WT Society. And that is on top of all the other stupid financial moves they've made. Something to consider

Finally got my computer back after two weeks. What a freaking hassle. Something with the hard drive I believe. Anyway been in communication with some folks about this situation with the WT Society financial shortfall and it looks like it's legit. I'm not at liberty to say anything more right now but it's definitely looking like they have their financial tits in the wringer. Thanks for all of your comments.

With the stopping of worldwide WT construction, the laying off of thousands of workers, and the cutbacks and downsizing of the printed materials - something is happening behind the scenes that the WT Society is not coming clean about to rank & file JW's . As you realize it's not just that they " want to emphasize the preaching work." Nice try there WT leaders but we know bullshit when we smell it. Any comments welcome. Maybe this thread is getting too long and people don't have the patience to read it all?

So that this doesn't fade away and be forgotten, perhaps if everyone who wants to take part writes their letter now, and put it aside until an agreed upon mailing date. The letters can be pretty simple because after the borg gets the first dozen or so they will know all the reasons for the defection.

Handwritten letters would be good.

After a while a thread could be started where you can post your letter - Mr.Quik's "Great Awakening" would be a great title.

WE need to spread the $hit all over the place and let rank & file JW's know that they have $hit all over them as well - they just don't realize it and can't smell it. I intend to chat with JW cart people again in my area very soon

that was today's topic over a group chat of my cong's young jbots.

apparently the rumors are circulating everywhere i go, even people from the spanish congs are talking about it.

what's really sad is that the majority of people are already seeing this as "clear" signs of the end coming.

You know what ? An interesting thing I might try doing is this : Go down to the park where the JW cart people stand in my little town and talk again with them posing as a non-JW who has JW relatives still in and tell them that my JW relatives told me that WT is stopping all construction worldwide and laying off thousands of workers . Then I might ask the Witnesses, " What could be causing the WT Society to have these financial difficulties where they are having to lay off people and stop all their construction projects ? " And see what the JW's answer. Then after they answer I might lead in with the WT child abuse news printouts again which disclose 13.5 million $$$$ here, and millions there being paid out and implant THAT thought into the Witnesses heads about the REAL reasons WT Society may be laying off people and stopping construction. So I'm thinking I may do that soon. What do some of you think ? Peace out, mr. Flipper

first, how about a joke?.

what do you call someone who just turned apostate?.

im thinking sometime in the future the society will put a spin on what is happening similar to what has been done in the past.. they will say apostasy once again reared its ugly head in the organization and layoffs was the only way to "cleanse" the organization.. once disgruntled ones begin to use their voice, they will be forced to strike back with some spin to make all those who have the guts to complain look like they were the problem.. good theory huh?.

Indeed it's already happening - this making of excuses by WT leaders for the layoffs and stopping of most all construction worldwide for the worldwide preaching work. And as Konceptual and others stated JW's don't even question these decisions. They " don't worry about details " in the words of Konceptual because the WT leaders have drilled it into JW's heads that " even though it may not make sense from a human standpoint we need to obey " - that mentality has been downloaded into the hard drive wiring into Witnesses brains where they trust TOO much the GB's information and instructions. If they were instructed to jump off of a cliff right now- they'd do that too thinking it was the greatest instruction on earth. Peace out, Mr. Flipper
