this was how it was described to me yesterday by a brother who has been there for some 40 years.

"everyone is about gone; the governing body is set to leave within 2 months; the kitchen and laundry personnel are gone and i have to fend for myself now.".

God forbid this guy ever has to cook for himself or do his own laundry like the rest of the normal human race ! I mean I get it - it's all these clowns have ever known is serving in a mind controlled state for WT Society needs, and a lot was demanded of these folks - but give me a break - whining about cooking for yourself and doing your own laundry. The guy's been spoiled rotten like the rest of them in Bethel having their rooms cleaned for them and cooked for and laundry done. Next thing you know he's going to want his ass wiped as well ! Incredible statistics on those partaking the last 10 years or so. 15,177 partakers ! My god- it goes up about 1,000 every year now ! Hey ! it's been at least a couple years since i've posted anything on here, and much longer than that since when i was active.

ten years ago i first came here all in turmoil over my disillusionment of my beliefs.

i've been through lots of ups and downs since then.

DANIEL-P - Man my friend , I really feel for you, I really do man. I went through this scene with my JW ex-wife after 19 years of marriage back in 1998. There are no easy solutions. I wanted to get professional marriage counseling- she did not - so we were done and we divorced moving on in life- sometimes that is the only option when all other options have run out.

That being said it's up to both you and your wife to determine your future together. Heart to heart confidential talks with each other from the bottom of your soul and I highly recommend both of you going to a professional marriage counselor to get an objective view of the deep lying resentments that may be running within both of you towards the other that have never been openly communicated. It may reveal surprises you were never aware of that existed. The counselor will help both of you see where there is room for improvement and growing if the relationship is to be healed. if your wife refuses to go- then that may be giving you your answer as to whether she wants the marriage to continue- or not. No easy solutions brother- just know that we love ya here and if you ever need a friend, I'm here, O.K. ? Feel free to PM me and perhaps we can chat on the phone sometime, O.K. ? I could only bear to listen to 3 minutes of the 8 minute Sound Cloud ranting of this mother to her son. If you want to call her a " mother ". I'd call her a mother " something else " at this moment. I wanted to smash my computer screen with my coffee cup I was so mad. Just as I stated on another thread- there are some parents on this planet who should be sterilized and are bat shit crazy who should NEVER have been allowed to become parents.

The sick, barbaric mind indoctrination of the WT Society that makes crazy people like this JW woman even CRAZIER than they already are- it is at the bottom of what makes JW parents controlling and abusing to their biological children. Children's minds are abused, their freedom of thinking is cut off - with threats of " I don't care about child protection services getting you . You can sit in juvenile hall for all I care. " And then on the other link the woman says she wishes she had aborted her son ? Wow. This is some criminal, heavy mind indoctrination of hate and evil that the WT Society gleefully indoctrinates into JW parents.

Listening to this stuff makes me glad I escaped over 12 years ago to freedom of mind. And as Gerryberry states in the title of this thread the WT Society cult should be held accountable I feel for crimes against humanity. I hope this young man gets out of his mothers home and bolts for freedom. Just an awful situation for him to live with a sociopathic mother like that

This is an especially disgusting case of sexual abuse within the JW organization on many different fronts. Disgusting . WHAT kind of parents do this to their daughters ? CRIMINAL parents just like Cognac mentioned. I totally agree with her, these fucking JW parents need to be jailed as well for what they did to their daughter and for what they did NOT do in failing to report the crime to the police ! I swear to god- there are people on this planet who should have their PARENT CARDS ripped away from them and should be forced to be sterilized so they cannot have children.

5 years is way too little of a punishment for this piece of filth child molester. As I've stated numerous times on this board - the WT Society breeds and trains it's JW members to be freaking criminals in our society by hiding crimes like this from police so that these child molesters feel that they can have free reign to go abuse who they want within the organization . And it breeds misplaced loyalties when parents are more obedient to a criminal organization than obeying the laws of the land. When ANY organization or ANY person - including parents - puts the welfare of an organization ahead of their own children's safety and welfare- these are criminally complicit parents aiding and abetting crimes of a larger organization. WT leaders need to be put on trial for crimes against humanity in how they've controlled and manipulated 8 million people's minds

What made you turn atheist or agnostic?

if you were a jw and are now an atheist or agnostic, what was the tipping point that made you turn to it?.

the reason i ask is i have noticed that many who leave the jw's seem to turn to atheism, versus still having some form of a faith.

have many of you given up on god first or have you had atheistic views first and then found atheism to be true.

Never been JW, but was raised with Catholic family and some friends had other religions.

Probably ages 8-12 I noticed religious hypocrites (spent a few years in Catholic grammar school). The kindest, sanest and most honest family I knew never even talked about religion or God. This was my best friend's family - my racist Catholic family were uncomfortable about them because they are Mexican, that made another impression on me about religion.

Also my child mind figured God was like the Easter Bunny, Santa, Tooth Fairy. I remember thinking they were going to keep it secret from kids until high school. I was considered a weird kid.

And that God was so mean and twisted. Creating a world of animals that eat each other? Hell? War? I could see that the religious adults were fearful of God, and I wondered why they believed it, and knew to keep my mouth shut about it.

Now, I don't know what the hell is out there, but it 's not likely anything from these crazy fairy tales. I believe in "Do the right thing"
