The new changes is a clear indication that we are one step closer to the end...
by RobertT18 inthat was today's topic over a group chat of my cong's young jbots.
apparently the rumors are circulating everywhere i go, even people from the spanish congs are talking about it.
what's really sad is that the majority of people are already seeing this as "clear" signs of the end coming.

You know what ? An interesting thing I might try doing is this : Go down to the park where the JW cart people stand in my little town and talk again with them posing as a non-JW who has JW relatives still in and tell them that my JW relatives told me that WT is stopping all construction worldwide and laying off thousands of workers . Then I might ask the Witnesses, " What could be causing the WT Society to have these financial difficulties where they are having to lay off people and stop all their construction projects ? " And see what the JW's answer. Then after they answer I might lead in with the WT child abuse news printouts again which disclose 13.5 million $$$$ here, and millions there being paid out and implant THAT thought into the Witnesses heads about the REAL reasons WT Society may be laying off people and stopping construction. So I'm thinking I may do that soon. What do some of you think ? Peace out, mr. Flipper -

Has anyone thought of the spin that the "society" will put on bethel layoffs?
by Lied2NoMore infirst, how about a joke?.
what do you call someone who just turned apostate?.
im thinking sometime in the future the society will put a spin on what is happening similar to what has been done in the past.. they will say apostasy once again reared its ugly head in the organization and layoffs was the only way to "cleanse" the organization.. once disgruntled ones begin to use their voice, they will be forced to strike back with some spin to make all those who have the guts to complain look like they were the problem.. good theory huh?.

Indeed it's already happening - this making of excuses by WT leaders for the layoffs and stopping of most all construction worldwide for the worldwide preaching work. And as Konceptual and others stated JW's don't even question these decisions. They " don't worry about details " in the words of Konceptual because the WT leaders have drilled it into JW's heads that " even though it may not make sense from a human standpoint we need to obey " - that mentality has been downloaded into the hard drive wiring into Witnesses brains where they trust TOO much the GB's information and instructions. If they were instructed to jump off of a cliff right now- they'd do that too thinking it was the greatest instruction on earth. Peace out, Mr. Flipper -

For 9 years, since I found out about the WT, (never was one) I have made sure everyone I know is informed. Very few people knew how corrupt the religion is. A lot of non religious people think along the lines "religious people are honest, harmless, well behaved, etc." They are not too interested and will change the subject unless you cut to the chase.
The things that caused people to perk up and listen are:
Shunning and the breakup of families, and that many jws are actually "captive" because of it.
Pedophiles can go door to door. That leads into the cover ups, and once again SHUNNING experienced by victims who seek help.
The whole takeover of kingdom hall deeds/money grab blows people away.
OK- I've noticed that jw literature and speech giving is very wordy, repetitive and drawn out. Flipper has worked at it over the years to be more concise, economical with words. The general public is pressed for time, overworked and tired, and long wordy stuff can be sleep inducing. I think the watchtower and other cults do it because it's kind of hypnotic.
So anything going to the media should be edited for this.

Of course they will get wind of this - but it's not a problem, really.
One more round of preemptive damage control in their publications and talks - sooner or later the r&f may start to see that's what it is, not some wonderful prophetic warning of future trouble.
More backbiting and paranoia, curiosity, gossip, witch hunts - a regular jw party.
The surprise elements will be that it actually carries through and (hopefully) gets media attention.

On 8/8 next year I'm willing to do this only anonymously as I have JW family still inside the org. I feel this would have the element of surprise to the WT Society in seeing just how MANY JW's or ex-JW's are massing as one voice of dissent against the WT Society's policies and practices . If Freemindfade and others of you can get this organized enough to get public media attention then it just might accomplish something positive in a bigger way giving access to information to the public.
It will get WT headquarters stirred up to the point of trying to give directions to the congregations. I like the idea of sending out MANY letters of disassociation not only to the WT headquarters but in all of our local areas. Believe me- it would have an effect.
About 8 years ago as I was leaving lots of child abuse lawsuit printouts anonymously under car windshields at Kingdom Halls - the elders in my area got worked up after these were found in car windshields at the congregation and they thought it was some unbaptized publisher in their congregation leaving them - instead it was me ! Who never attended there and who they didn't even know ! LOL. So they got on the unbaptized publishers case I was told- took him to the backroom and counseled him sternly accusing him of leaving these printouts.
Point I'm making is it causes confusion, paranoia, fear within the leadership within congregations and possibly at Bethel. They already HAVE those traits anyway being in a cult - a mass disassociating may push that fear and paranoia to the breaking point - and that would be a good thing. Might even make some JW's wake up on the inside if rank & file publishers get wind of it happening. Time will tell. It's worth a shot. Good luck everybody, count me in on any help you need within reason. Not going to fall on my sword, but I'll help

Hey - let's stick to the subject!
As for Simonsays - and why he comes on this apostate forum against wt rules. He is exempt from the rules because he is an undercover superhero - the Watchtower's own Batman. (if only in his own mind) Fighting evil of course. Let him rant, consider it an annoying commercial break. Ignore it.
So any new ideas?

Simonsays seems a bit distressed.
I suppose the wt sycophant lurkers will soothe themselves by ratting this stuff out to "Mother".
Oh, dear! What ever shall we do?Keep on keepin' on, that's what!

When really distraught people have shown up here most times someone will pm them and offer a phone call. This has helped some really depressed people at least get pointed to good counseling (both peer and psychological) and has started good friendships.
Very important to find a professional counselor who is familiar with religious cults and who sees that the watchtower is one. I can't count how many non jw people including some counselors who had no clue about this. (I sure enlightened them)

SANS - excellent. From an outsider's viewpoint (never was jw) the reason for the anonymity being necessary is what would get the media's attention. That this religion has captive members, and how many lost their families after they left.
SHUNNING should be at the lead. It is the reason for SANS. (Captive members who don't believe - stay in just to keep their families and "friends"))
The threat of shunning is what causes jws to obey the stupid blood policy.
Threat of shunning is why jws allow the horrible pedophile protection coverups by not going to the police, and it's why abuse victims stay silent.
And a very simple logo of a wall being broken through (OnTheWayOut once had an avatar like that here). Maybe a graphic of notched battlements at the top of the wall like on the JW watchtower if it could be similar but not enough to cause WT to sue.
To avoid that maybe a watchtower in the style of the Nazi POW camps being cut through at the bottom.
As few words as possible - so it can be read easily and quickly. Links to articles or court papers could be provided for the details.
I wouldn't make any mysterious lead ups - I never take the time to open threads that don't have a clear title.
As simple and clear as possible.

This is an awesome idea. If enough participate, it may actually capture the media's attention - a mass protest of a corrupt cult.
How much you wanna bet there will be some pre-emptive damage control as soon as the "holy spirit" tells the GB about this.
"Even though this may not make sense from a human standpoint, Jehovah has lovingly directed us to be aware of Satan's takeover of the world's postal services and to disregard the false information being sent out. Take down your mailboxes and burn them. Carrier pigeons will be provided to all congregations. Better yet, you all just stop reading anything other than borg propaganda - more time to work for free for Jehovah."
