JW Hatred and Elders Apathetic Manners Drove Me Here! Why are JWs fooled in to thinking the WTS Cares?

for years i've been screwed with by some very bad people, people satan would kick out of his organization because even the devil might let up on evil just to allow someone to catch their breath.

with the jwism's bad people move up while good people move down or leave the kingdom hall for good.

i was talking with two elders who said "you know if you return to the kingdom hall, jehovah will bless you and these people will stop screwing with you.

JUDAS- Welcome to the board. I'm sorry that you've experienced such injustices from elders or others. Those are some of the main reasons I left the organization back in 2003. Please know that we are here as a support to you and are here to offer our real friendship to you. It's good that you have your parents to support you and are able to be there for you. Keep your chin up. Hang in there. The road to mental freedom is a challenging one- but once it's attained your life will get better the less you have to be in the company of judgmental people - your wife, elders, anybody who judges you unfairly. People who do this to us can be a real poison to our lives.

If your wife would be willing to cast her judgments away from you and let you stop attending without her harshness your existence would be easier. Sounds like a time for a heart to heart talk with her to determine which way you want to go progressing forward. Take care, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

"Don't you love Jehovah anymore then ?"

mrs phizzy ran into a jw lady from a neighbouring congo who has known us since we were teenagers, before we married, sometime in the pleistocene era lol.. during the conversation said lady asked if mrs phizzy was going to the r.c, to which mrs phizzy replied, "oh you haven't heard, we no longer go to meetings".. the jw lady then came back with the question in the thread title, which mrs phizzy handled well.. the point of this is though, what a god-awful, stupid, cult-minded question to ask !.

did she think we woke up one morning and thought "we don't love god anymore" ??

would that happen to anyone ?.

This is the ploy my JW daughters have tried on me, " when are you coming back to Jehovah ? Don't you love Jehovah anymore ? " It's so bizarre. In skirting the question I just told them in the past that I have " doubts " and " questions " that I need answered in which I've already talked to my elder dad or other elders about. So I don't directly answer about coming back or " loving " Jehovah. Seems to work- sort of. At least I reconnected to some extent with my older JW daughter. Although I've called her 3 times in the last month and a half and have received no reply. Oh well- back to the drawing board. Like Life Is Too Short says talking with these people is almost impossible. Even when we stay calm and reasonable

Band Green Day and JWs

a few years ago i heard of a story about two jw's being at a green day concert.

i think that the witnesses were bethelites.

the person that told me that story said that the band was about to play but they couldn't.

I heard the rumor back in the day that the band Earth, Wind, and Fire did a similar thing asking any JW's to leave the audience because they couldn't communicate with their " God's " or " spirits " to get the right influence on their music playing. There's no telling how out of hand all these rumors get- JW's are the most gossip filled rumor mongering people I've known in my life. They'd throw their own parents under the table for good, juicy gossip. Oh wait- that already happens all the time. LOL

VIDIOT- Good point. I totally agree. " Child abuse is a crime first and foremost. It is sexual violence. " Correct, end of statement with an explanation point ! There should be no debating among JW elders or WT Society officials on how to handle it ! Repentance has NOTHING to do with how child molesters should be handled. It's a criminal offense it should be reported to the police first- not WT legal

Separated for over a month...

it hasn't been easy at all... trying to care for two kids- ages 3 & 6, while working fulltime, barely any support from immediate family, my ex has only seen the kids twice for a few hours, ughhhh.... i make way to much money to qualify for any sort of help, ex barely makes anything so that's out.... this is a million times harder than i could have even imagined... but, we are managing somehow; abeit, a little creatively at times.... i had just started thinking to myself, "we can do this!

" then, my house got robbed, about 10k worth of stuff stolen... ughhhh..... this is so depressing....

COGNAC- I'm so sorry that you're going through these hardships. Having been divorced myself once when I had children, I know it's not easy. Especially when your children are as young as yours are - mine were teenagers when I divorced . I wish your parents or your sister would help more in caring for your children. I mean- isn't that what family is for ? But it's tough when most of our family are JW's. They just don't understand- all they know is how to do is to make US feel guilty . Instead of giving unconditional support without judgment.

I'm sad to hear that you got robbed. Oh my god, I cannot even imagine the stress you are under. Please know and realize that my wife and I are here if you ever want to chat, O.K. ? UMBERTOECHO- It is amazing isn't it how even victims of child abuse themselves who are JW's can excuse the criminality inside the JW organization with what's happened to them ? It's like the Stockholm Syndrome taking over and they excuse their captors for allowing them to be molested. Really strange. Very sad. Thanks for sharing that conversation.

LISA ROSE- Exactly. To appoint ANY child molester to be an elder is so irresponsible and criminal it's just insane. The WT Society's lack of ethics and morals is so criminal it goes without saying.

4THGEN- Very true what you say about the George Orwell quote. " The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it. " Very true. It's one reason that we " apostates " are hated by the WT leaders and Jehovah's Witnesses because we DO SPEAK the " truth about the alleged " truth "

4THGEN- I agree with you . It's what the WT Society DOES that shows their criminality not what they SAY. Talk is cheap as the expression goes- actions speak louder than words.

My first thought is: fisherman - snap the hell out of it already.

It's important to remember what strong forces denial and cognitive dissonance are and this guy is a great example to observe.

I was never a witness but have followed this board for 8 years because of the bizarre and mean spirited behavior of the witnesses in Flipper's family.

I have made so many great friends here and heard all their stories - here in writing and many in person or phone call.

Fisherman - it is something to see just how many similar stories there are from people who live far apart, don't know each other, and whose only thing in common is the jw religion.

This young guy's story doesn't surprise me at all. It's like the closer they get to the top of the organization the worse their behavior - like a pack of hyenas, I swear....

Life Is To Short is one of my closest friends. She is one of the most kind, generous and honest people I know. After what she has been through since birth at the hands of Jehovah's Witnesses in "good standing" it's amazing she has her wits about her and is a high functioning hard working person. And never lost her sense of humor to boot.

She was treated particularly bad for trying to care for and help older or distraught congregation members. It's as if the saying "no good deed goes unpunished" was originally made for the jws.

I spoke to a psychotherapist friend about that - he said people like that will hate you because they know they will never have as much heart as you.

I've seen people treat others that way here occasionally. It's a shame.

This thread really hits home. Thanks, cha ching for posting.

UMBERTOECHO- I'm so sorry you had that creepy experience with that man in your congregation. Really strange. I hope you have recovered somewhat. I agree with you that normal Western Society treats child abuse in the real world as the crime that it is. Sadly- most religions, including Jehovah's Witnesses , treats child abuse like it's a sin and not a crime- minimizing the danger of it. I agree we HAVE to get the word out how dangerous it really is.

SOFIA LOSE- I agree. We NEED to keep this child abuse negligence of the WT Society out in public first and foremost. Very important

i commented on this on another thread- but i believe this has enough importance to create a thread about this situation in and of itself.

at the current district convention as you know the wt society released a " sophie & caleb " video allegedly warning parents about the dangers of child abuse.

they don't really use the words " child abuse " in the video - but just say if " someone tries to touch you in a manner you aren't comfortable with " and portray it as a cartoon !

FINKELSTEIN- Yeah, I think it's a decoy the WT Society is trying to use portraying a monster as a child molester instead of a real human being. That way it's less incriminating towards individual members of Jehovah's Witnesses who actually ARE child molesters. Pretty tricky.

VIDIOT- Exactly WT Society makes their own version of reality. It's ridiculous
