How Come the Watchtower does not admit "We Don't Know Anything About Bible Prophecy" and come clean?

so many of us have been caught up in the negative effects this religion placed over our lives and those who we love very much.

i am the first one to tell my kids "i don't know s&^^ about this or that subject", if the watchtower is truly our brother or spiritual mother why don't they tell us the following questions we all have asked them?.

1. we screwed up about 1914 and "life is short, go live your life to the fullest while maintaining justice and morality, don't hurt your fellow man by making his life screwed up!.

POKER PLAYER PHILL- It's a pretty easy reason why the WT leaders don't come clean and admit fault. They are evil and arrogant assholes. Pretty much comes down to that. And the fact that in order to keep their billion $$$$ organization going they have to create " new light " to keep a proverbial carrot dangling in front of 8 million unsuspecting JW's. The carrot is called, " you will live forever in Paradise earth and never die or get sick where everybody will grow younger again. " People buy into this $hit like kittens lapping up cream in a saucer. Doesn't make it real though. People thrive on fantasy and being deluded

i've watched the reaction to the nepal disaster for the first time with eyes opened.

lots of comments about praying for the brothers and sisters affected.

the official release on the website references only the sister and her two children that died, along with the impact on the brothers there.

The WT Society has indoctrinated into the Jehovah's Witness mindset a very definitive lack of sensitivity or lack of empathy into their brain neurotransmitters. As Steve Hassan called it " dissociative disorder " it's actually a negative mental illness that many Jehovah's Witnesses possess due to the ridiculous WT programming of " we are a people for special possession " or catch phrases like this one - " we are Jehovah's privileged people whom he has chosen ".

This tends to produce people who feel entitled to hold themselves up above all other non-JW's because they feel that they are better than " worldly " people. So any authentic human empathy that JW's once had - gets replaced by the WT cult " view " of empathy which involves mainly only being concerned about JW's welfare. Disgusting.

JW's just naturally assume that non-Witnesses are worthy of being destroyed at Armageddon based on the fact that they aren't " us " - or Jehovah's Witnesses. To show how calloused they are, years ago I saw an elders wife scold her teenage daughter for crying when one of her daughters friends was DFed . She told her, " You are NOT supposed to mourn when someone leaves Jehovah's organization ! " Pretty disgusting.

A year ago when I was trying to see about getting in-home nurses and senior care for my JW mom in her own home with my dad- my JW sister popped up and said, " Oh no ! Flipper we can't have worldly people coming into mom and dad's home to care for her ! They'll steal from mom and dad ! " Needless to say I told my JW sister that she was being ridiculous - that medical professionals wouldn't jeopardize their jobs by stealing from a patient . They are there to care for the patient my mom ! It fell on deaf ears. My mom is still in a senior care facility.

Point I'm making is we see this hardwired insensitivity in most all JW's as it's HOW they think , feel, and live. It saturates their pores. Sick stuff

Why are there so many pedophiles predators in the Watchtower Corporation?

one reason is because the governing body's policies allow them to run loose in the congregation with their secrecy/kangaroo courts.

to keep jehovah's name untarnished(organization sock puppet) they have put the little rank and file member at risk.. one member of the gb was a child molester.. sexual repression also seems to aggravate the situation and make matters worse.. the governing body main concern is not children but how to keep the scam going and so if they can get the victim to shut up and not go to the police as it offers a temporary fix.. etc.....

They seem to think becoming JWs will cure the pedophiles. Incredibly arrogant.

The pedophiles probably feel like they've hit the jackpot when they find out how the Watchtower deals with child abuse.

The Watchtower is run by puffed up patriarchal old testament style misogynists. Women and children are way less important than men. Women are spiritually weak temptresses (that's why they have asked 7 year old abuse victims what they were wearing).

And a good dose of "Boys will be boys."

I think there's a good chance the Watchtower has more pedophiles per capita than a lot of other religions.

There is something bizarre and alarming about the Watchtower's attitude toward pedophilia. Good illustrations are in the guy's speech and Shadows posts.

A good friend was in particularly insane congregation and trying to warn parents and elders about convicted pedophiles in their hall. The elders refused to even look at copies of the police and prison records (one of these guys was described as an incurable sexual psychopath), and buddied around with these creeps.

Some of those elders constantly bullied and badmouthed my friend. There's so much to that story, it's amazing this person came out with sanity intact.

One single mom made it a point to hand her kid to the pedophile she was warned about in front of my friend. (After running straight to the elders to rat out the evil whistleblower).

This is so frustrating - you just can't get across to people like that. Any threat to their superstitious belief systems gets them angry and defensive. If they want to be that way, fine, but it's so sad for the little kids growing up with it.

I can just picture the jws in the audience nodding their heads to this guy's insane speech. Holy sht.

due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

ZEB- I'm terribly sorry to hear that your children were molested. Like you stated - these child molesters don't quit. They have a long track record of abusing many times multiple numbers of children who have been criminally assaulted. I've heard that even one pedophile can molest over 100 children or more through the years. That 's what makes them so dangerous and why this danger NEEDS to be emphasized. I'm sure it was terrifying for you to discover all the names of other victims this perpetrator had abused as well as your own children. Made your blood run cold. People need to become proactive and inform the public of how much this is happening so other potential victims can be protected. I'm sorry for your children's pain and your pain my friend. The elders came to talk about my facebook comment

so, not long ago i've told you guys how one of my only two jw friends saw my comment against the borg and called me about it.

well, the little fraker also called the elders to tell on me.

i know i've been a huge idiot for posting a comment about jw's on facebook, but nonetheless i did it and what's happened, happened.. two idiot elders came all the way from the nearest congo, 30 miles away to talk to me about it.

COOKIEMASTER- So the elders only drove 30 miles to come interrogate you ? Back in 2007 the elders I knew after I exited the cult in 2003- drove 80 miles - from over an hour and a half away to come interrogate me one month before my marriage about committing alleged " circumstancial fornication " with my fiancé. And I had not attended a meeting in 4 years !

Listen people- Cookiemaster has it right. " Big brother " , " communist regime ", thought police ", " gestapo ", or just plain " Nazi's " are very accurate descriptions of how the WT Society trains these elders to go after former members. It's best to learn a lesson from this- many of us do NOT post on Facebook for this very reason. Possibly being outed to JW family that we may still need to keep in touch with. i am new to this forum - it is only a couple of weeks since i have allowed myself to acknowledge and research my doubts.

i am trying to be fair by reading both sides of the story and considering jw official explanation of confusing matters.

one of the issues i have been looking at is shunning - and i was shocked to see the misleading information about shunning on the jw.org website: .

I mean- it's incredible. I've been essentially shunned for years by some of my JW siblings and my JW adult daughters - in spite of not being disfellowshipped ! I know scores of other ex-JW's who are in the same boat. So yes indeed- WT society speaks out of both opposite sides of their mouth depending on if they are speaking to the rank & file JW's - or if they are speaking to potential non-JW converts. The story changes dramatically. Really ridiculous

SHADOW- I am truly sorry that your child was attacked for years by a pedophile, that is VERY sad and horrific - that's why it's somewhat ironic - don't you think that your view of MINIMIZING the damage that this elders talk does towards the crime of child abuse towards victims is quite a confusing view on YOUR part ? A person would think that you would be outraged as well by all the WT Society injustices being done towards victims of child abuse.

Nobody is turning this thread into a joke. Child abuse is NO joking matter. It's a crime with REAL victims and REAL criminals committing these crimes and real criminal organizations aiding and abetting over 23,000 child molesters within the WT organization. If you don't GET that point- you are beyond reasoning with. " Satan " is a fictitious piece of crap that MANY religions have created to keep people in fear of a fantasy. Child molesters are REAL dangers to millions of JW kids and other youngsters around the world. I would assume that you realize this fact since this horrific crime happened to your own child.

Look - you can use a clever scene from a Bruce Willis movie to say that " you see dumb people " ( it was dead people by the way ) - but I've never seen you at all in person but by your stubborn refusal to admit truths about the criminality of child abuse as compared to a pretend " Satan " - you show just how long you choose to remain in your ignorance. And you do an extreme disservice to your own flesh and blood that suffered these crimes at the hands of a child molester. Think about it
