Stop WT society information control by giving access to REAL information
by flipper inof course we all know that many ex-jw's are doing this online constantly and that's a good thing.
whether by you tubes, websites, blogs, etc.
the worldwide community of ex-jw's has been and will continue to be proactive in putting out real information to counteract and offset the lies and fantasy propaganda put out by the wt society.

FERNANDO- Good point. It DOES take MANY hours of field service to try to make one JW convert, and even then it's difficult at best when JW's attempt to do it. As you say with the advancement and proliferation of the Internet- more people are being warned to avoid joining Jehovah's Witnesses and that's a good thing -

3rdgen - you make an excellent point when you state, " So no, I won't accept that I was that stupid . I was lied to. " EXACTLY ! And therein lies the crux of the matter. We as ex Jehovah's Witnesses have to be kind to ourselves and put the blame on where it belongs - leaders of the WT Society who lied and CONTINUE lying to 8 million people and other potential non-JW converts.
As Steve Hassan mentions in his books on mind control - the tactics of mind control can be successfully used to manipulate ANYONE'S mind . It doesn't matter how " smart " or allegedly " intelligent " someone thinks they are. It's about an unscrupulous high control organization using deceptive and persuasive tactics to appeal to important things in people's lives - never dying, never getting sick, perfect health, possibly living forever - all of these things are an illusion in reality - but if the WT Society and other mind control cults can use guilt and fear to pull converts in hook, line, and sinker- then WT leaders have accomplished their goal of controlling more lives to suit WT organization purposes and enable the WT organization financially through donations and time stolen from what SHOULD have been normal human lives. Now totally wasted.
The best revenge against the WT Society is living successfully and happily after exiting the JW cult. Then the WT Society loses the influence in us and life begins again for us. Then we essentially give WT leaders a slap in the face and can say, " this is one life you didn't continue to steal ! " And we do that when we forgive ourselves for having been in the JW's in the first place and realize it was NOT our fault- we were lied to , duped, controlled, and manipulated with false illusions and false hopes. Then put blame on WT leaders, they are the guilty party

Life is Too Short & Magnum - I can relate to both of you as well and your sentiments. I was born into the JW cult from birth- exited at age 44 over 11 years ago. I was told as a teenager that I'd never get married in this " system " or have children in this " system ". But here I am - now 55 years old with my oldest son turning 30 years old and two JW daughters still trapped inside the cult aged 28 and almost 27. Still in this " system of things ". LOL.
It's tough knowing that we were all lied to- however for me personally I have found it VERY freeing to not have to WORRY about an imaginary " Armageddon " anymore coming to " kill me " or " get me ". It's nice finding out the big bad dream of being destroyed is NOT true. So now I can live my life HOW I want and pursue the interests and hobbies and exciting events in life full throttle without the WT Society or a big bad God boogie man preventing me from doing it ! The way I look at it is I now have a SECOND chance to pursue life from here on out in regards to pursuing music, my relationships, my friends, hiking in the woods or mountains, camping at Apostafests , reading great books I may have missed as a JW - the possibilities are endless now.
I try to look at my glass of life as half FULL instead of half EMPTY. I know it's a cliché- but it's true. Just my 2 cents on what helps me get by, thought I'd share it. Remember folks we are FREE . We have freedom of mind now and no one can steal that from us anymore unless we allow it

Their delusion run-ith over in today WT study rag mag.
by Crazyguy ini noticed that in paragraph 13 they mention the girl sheryl that i believe was the same girl that was in their video about the typhoon that hit the philippines back in 2013. they talk as if she's so happy and thankful to jehovah even mention that she lost most of her family in that typhoon.
what they don't mention was her family members that were killed in that typhoon were inside a kh thinking they were going to be protected by jehovah since they were in gods house and his people and all.
they also fail to mention that the government authorities were telling people to get out of town but the elders were most likely telling the people in their congregations to stick around and just come to the hall.

I haven't read the article - which I don't anymore after being out over 11 years - but here's another thought I have - How come " Jehovah " didn't protect all of those old Bethelites from dying who were on the cover of the 1984 WT which claimed " Millions Now Living Will Never Die " ? All of them are DEAD now. Where's the alleged " Paradise " ? Are they serving as alleged " Kings and Priests " in heaven ? No. Personally I think they are just disintegrating in their graves as worm food. Once again WT Society cannot deliver on the promise that God allegedly " protects " people. It's an untruth, it's a fallacy, and it's delusional.
It's a tragedy that the young lady in the opening thread lost her parents in death to the typhoon- but how was SHE any more special than her PARENTS were that God would allegedly protect HER and not her parents ? She's NOT more special - she was lucky . It was a random thing that she survived and her parents did not. This whole thing of God protecting some and letting others die is just plain stupid and superstitious

According to Oct.1st 2012 WT Directions- Past Child Molesters CAN Be Appointed Elders
by flipper inconsidering the fact that the wt society refuses to release in courts any of it's written directions to elders through confidential letters to elder bodies- i thought i'd do the courts and wt society a "favor " by posting excerpts from this oct 1st.
2012 letter from the wt society to all bodies of elders.
these instructions are very exposing of the negligence of wt authorities in how they view the seriousness of felony child abuse.

OTWO- Also, forgot to mention that in reality if you follow the paper trail- the WT Society receiving ALL of those donations - if you look at it from where the money CAME from- it's really NOT even the WT corporation's money paying out these lawsuits- these abuse suits are being paid out on the backs of rank & file JW's hard earned money in their personal lives. Point is the WT Society leaders are snake oil salesmen who promise security for JW's - but are swindling them out of their finances through donations.
So I still get your point , which is correct , WT pays it out of the corporate money- but originally WT money comes to them without WT corporate earning ANY of it. I guess that's the point I was making. Now I've probably confused the situation more ? LOL ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

ON THE WAY OUT- Yeah, I knew what you meant in your post. It's not the GB 's personal money it comes from the WT corporation. GB members would NEVER pay out any money to victims - ever. But I hope the day comes that when GB members refuse to give testimony or refuse to hand over documentation - that the WT Society gets a stiffer penalty than just monetary payouts. I hope these fools get thrown into prison sometime. But then they'd just spin it to the rank & file that they are being " persecuted " . That being said- WT leaders still should be thrown into prison for criminal liability for not only the child abuse issues- also thousands dying from no blood transfusions. They are blood guilty -

Are Jehovah's Witnesses ever "good enough", must they remain anxious and fragile for fear they will not be saved by their works?
by Trailer Park Pioneer inas a jehovah's witness you know you can never do enough without hearing stories of another witness doing twice what your doing and living off half the money your living on because they give all their time and money to the watchtower.
this is totally bunk, reading romans 7:21-24 paul knew his condition was hopeless without the free gift from god.
paul put all his emphasis on jesus christ, not some self-appointed apostles whose proof offered up is over 150 years of failed prophecy!

No, in the WT Society's eyes- Jehovah's Witnesses are NEVER good enough. They take quite literally the scripture to " work out your salvation with FEAR and TREMBLING. " But WT leaders mean that the FEAR and TREMBLING should be about fearing THEM , the Governing Body- not God -

SNUGGLEBUNNY- Thanks for posting this. I can read your picture just fine. It's an important message that needs to get out. In the one article it states that there has been " 27 Jehovah's Witness child abuse convictions in the last 4 years in the U.K. ". And the United States number will be going up in the next few years as well. Word needs to get out about the WT Society's horrid child abuse policies. Good job -

A "body of elders" or really one main guy?
by Simon inthe wts promotes the idea of congregations being managed by a body or elders who all follow their rules and so are in full agreement with how things should be done.. was your hall like this?.
out hall was a constant battlefield for power between a couple of elders and their families - relatives that had been promoted to various positions.
it wasn't some hidden secret, it was blatant and obvious.

The 44 years from birth that I attended congregations until my exit at age 44 in 2003- I noticed many times, in fact most of the congregations I was in had one elder who dominated over the others. He'd be more outspoken and just kind of seize the power and the other elders kind of fell along like good little sheeple never questioning him. And that particular elder would be given more respect mainly due to his history of having either been in higher up positions such as fill-in Circuit Overseers or had served at Bethel, or had actually been a former Circuit Overseer. Or because he had a long history of giving Circuit or District assembly parts or talks.
My dad was City Overseer for over 30 years and people stumbled all over themselves to appease him. Many people actually walked in fear of my dad- because of his stern appearing, strict demeanor. I didn't walk in fear of my dad though- I saw through the veneer. He was as human as the next person. Made lots of mistakes and was very human- even lost his City Overseer slot and eldership for awhile.
It's probably one reason my dad and I don't get along even now that he's well into his 80's - he still treats my mom like a " lesser vessel " and not respectfully. I saw many elders who thought that they were legends in their own minds- and it showed how they dominated over their fellow elders. And for some of these " stars " it transferred into their home life towards their wives and children. Very sad

ON THE WAY OUT- Good points you bring out. It ISN"T the WT 's personal money to pay out. They've received most all of that money from JW contributions. And you are correct- I'm sure there are many stories that have been shared back and forth between higher ups as WT officials discuss child abuse cases they've heard that involve C.O.'s D.O.'s or other JW's in appointed positions. And what happens ? Many times these cases either get buried or go nowhere. At least NOT to the police where they should go.
TOES UP- They ARE hypocrites as you state. And yes, they do NOT want to open a Pandora's Box as that is exactly what will happen when they hand over the WT database file to courts. So WT leaders will continue to fight tooth and nail against doing this. That's what criminals do- try to outwit the justice system. WT will get theirs in the end though
