Dub w/soul patch?
by La Capra ini was at the gym this morning, pouring myself a cup of coffee and i noticed a sweaty man sitting at a table reading what looked like the small version of the maroon deluxe nwt (the one made out of pig leather that were all the rage in the early 90's before the "donation arrangement").
(for anyone who cares, he was in revelation.
) it also appeared that he had a colorful tract or magazine and the daily text book (are those spiral bound now?

"I am leaving"
by DazedAndConfused inbigdreaux's thread caused me to think back on similar threads where the poster's have been blasted for their exit threads.
most try to reason with the poster with positive responses and try to get them to stay with us, but a few have posted negative thoughts to being downright nasty.. i have noticed various post's stating "you'll be back" (in sarcasm) to those who outright state that we are better off without you (the poster who says goodbye.).
there have been good people here, bigdreaux included, who are ostracised for their post to say goodbye.

dazed, thank you for this post. i wasn't hurt by some of the negative comments. 2 reasons.
1. i have thick skin
2. the love shown to me by others overshadowed those comments. those are also the comments that made me realise what i actually do here.
i'm really not trying to toot my own horn, but, i received alot of e-mails asking me to stay. the reason i say this is, i really didn't think people cared that much about me. i hope others can learn from my experience. everyone is needed here. the varying viewpoints help people see all sides of an issue.
i also know, in my case, i didn't say goodbye to get attention. i wanted everyone to know my intentions, and give them the opportunity to stay in touch. i couldn't believe the phone calls, and e-mails i got. i have since had several awesome conversations with a few people here. we wound up staying on the phone for over an hour. i didn't want to hang up, but, we all had stuff to do.
thank you guys for your support and love. and anyone that feels unwanted, or unneeded, or persacuted here, please know it's not as bad as all that.
we all have a common bond noone else can understand. we are all completly different, but, our experiences binds us in love.

What would you do?
by PEC inbarbie doll's grandson called yesterday saying the his fiancee, wants to meet us.
his hasn't willingly visited us for more than 10 years.
the last few times we saw him, was when we stopped his work, every time we invited to come and visit us and he never has.

sassy and eclipse are right. i would at least attempt to see them. missanna was a huge inspiration for me. i changed alot after i met her. maybe this girl is having the same positive influence in his life. if he has seen the error of his ways, you kicking him to the curb, may but him back into his old mind set.
i say, go meet them, do not give them money, and establish boundaries for contact. if he truly wants a real relationship with you, awesome. if he is there for some ulterior motive, kick him in the nuts.
