  Something I noticed in the famous "1975" Watchtower article...

  i decided to read for myself the articles my father and mother were reading during this interesting time in witness history.

  i stumbled upon the following paragraph that scared the bejeezus out of me: .

  "one thing is absolutely certain, bible chronology reinforced with fulfilled bible prophecy shows that six thousand years of mans existence will soon be up, yes, within this generation!

(2 Timothy 2:3, The English Bible in Basic English) In Paul's company, Timothy learned the secret of being content in even the most difficult circumstances. (Philippians 4:11,12; 1 Timothy 6:6-8) You can do the same. Are you willing to make sacrifices for the sake of the Kingdom?

  Sorry to keep adding, but I'm quite sure thousands of witnesses are not following this above text. I see some living top notch lives. I'm referring particularly to the 1st sentence.

  3 Dub youths I know, 1 graduated a career course at an Institute, and the other 2 going to local college, so I'll see if this talk has any influences.

You just cannot afford to get involved in such things!

  A witness said, when a comment about rollerskating came up, and she had never been to a rink to skate when she was growing up...that she was Proud of that.

  She is a young adult. WHAT the heck is there to be PROUD of, that you've never been to a skating rink with friends(even witness friends) in one's life. What does Pride have to do with it?

  The above clip makes perfect sense to me now though on why she said it. Thanks for posting that Blondie.

  To add more, to me, this would imply that any witnesses who EVER have went out skating at a rink, have been LESS in step with Hovah than she, would it not? OUTINGS?? are they kidding? What are you supposed to be as a youth? A 24 hour worship and training zombie?

  something has been bugging me for ages about the non-participation of r&f jws in the memorial meal (sounds like a mcdonalds deal) !.

  i've just worked out what it is.... only the "anointed" can partake of the emblems.. but at the original meal, as instituted by jesus, no one was anointed.

  the anointing came at pentecost, after he had died !.

  1) All opinion based support.

  2) You try and make some things mean other things without any hard facts. (as is typical of the WTS)

  3) And you're floating around this Forum dabbling in apostacism(is that a word?).....is this what "Jehovah" God wants you to be doing? Do not touch unclean things.

  ( a day ago) - so a couple of witnesses were talking and i heard one mention that he was on the "security" group of dubs for his convention.

  they all had to meet early to discuss the barrage of "evil slave" class coming in and handing out cards with apostate information and also to watchover the restrooms, cause the "evil slave" likes to put flyers and stuff in there as well.

  there was mentioning of how they would handle those ones.... just a note of encouragement, i guess, but it seems as if you ex-dubs that try and release the other actives, definitely are having an impact in some ways.. .

  The badge comes into my graphics program the right size. The problem arises when you view an image with a higher resolution than that of the standard monitor resolution of 72dpi. IExplorer will make it look real big. And if you print direct from IE or another browser, it's gonna print the way it looks on the monitor.

  The MS Word suggestion might work that way if the program is defaulted to display at 72dpi. Just a guess.

  since being open to the truth abou da troof, whenever i read watchtower articles, their titles are always combinations of the same thing, just rehatched and modified to say teh same exact thing... does anybody get what i mean?.

  serve jehovah and have ever-lasting peace!.

  On average, how many non-JW/Invitees did you see at KHs on Sundays?

  i was thinking about my 1 and only visit to a sunday "service" as an invite, to a kh a few years back.. it never dawned on me til now, but we showed up in collar shirt & slacks / casual dress, and immediately felt way under dressed (& uncomfortable due to that).

  and now i think that relatively, there's probably not a lot of new faces that are seen in these small congregations, and although i felt like i was initially just going to another "church service"...i really wasn't, was i?.

  now i'm thinking that silently, everyone was probably so tuned into my wife, my daugther and i when we showed up and throughout the service.

  It never dawned on me til now, but we showed up in Collar Shirt & Slacks / Casual Dress, and immediately felt WAY under dressed (& uncomfortable due to that). And now I think that relatively, there's probably not a lot of new faces that are seen in these small congregations, and although I felt like I was initially just going to another "Church Service"...I really wasn't, was I?

  Now I'm thinking that silently, everyone was probably so tuned into my wife, my daugther and I when we showed up and throughout the service. Almost like a gang member just brought new possible recruits in, and we were being watched like hawks....looking to see if we were "Witness" material???, to see how we acted.

  So tell me, was everyone focused on us or what?

  Am I over anylizing?

  We absolutely left there, feeling like we were among what felt like robots or something...that REALLY sticks in my memory of the event.
