Congratulations Katie.
As for LT, I'll be careful, he must have some kind of powers that he can transmit over the internet.

last night as i was waiting in my truck for my jw roommate to come out from tms, this lady comes out with a young girl crying.
i would say she was about 8 yrs old.
they were the only ones out there and i don't thing they saw me in my truck.
was excessive and not appropriate for a child with a learning disability.
Absolutely Oppgirl. In this case the parent needs help. He/she may not have been raised in an abusive childhood. There might be some inner anger of having a child with a disability and you would be doing the parent, and the child, a favor by reporting it. This parent's problem will not go away by itself. The childs problem is the parent.
Crumpet and Blondie both make a good point. Here's my point, child abuse, regardless of any religion your raised in, (bluntly saying) creates fucked up people like me. (No reference intended to anyone on the board) I admit it, I have dealt with it and I did not raise my children that way. They (all five) are happy and living well because I didn't raise them they way I was raised. Not everyone will raise their children, without the strap or stick, the way they were raised. Then, the abuse continues.

That's not a spanking. That's a crime. This type of crime occurs most often behind closed doors and you have/had the best opportunity to help that child. It will NEVER stop without intervention from a witness. And I don't mean the Jehovah type.
as witnesses, you are trained to feel guilty.
i don't know if i'm rare regarding my guiltless feelings but i have not had any guilt whatsoever after leaving the witnesses.
not even a little bit.....what about you?
Never any guilt about fulfilling my biggest (actually my only) dream. Getting away from the dub world.
Then life goes on and there are other guilts to deal with. Many I can't describe here.
For my guilts where someone else may be involved, I try to forget about it and I try to think they have forgotten about it. I have tried repentance with little success.
i'm sitting here, typing with my left hand, because asleep in my right hand is a little mouse!
found the poor thing in the driveway, it almost looked like it had a stroke, it seemed to be dragging it's left side, flopping around trying to move towards the grass.
i didn't want the dogs to get it, so went and got my gloves, and scooped the poor thing up.
Those cute little mice aren't so worthy of saving when they're in your cupboards eating your food. I've been happy to kill many of them.
That says it all you wimps. Flush it! And forget about it!
ha ha.
it's my first day and i just can't get enough of jwd.
i feel like i'm actually protesting and it's great.
Welcome to the board Miss8572. My father did assist two elderly women when he was an elder. One with transportation and the other he did grocery shopping for. That was more than he ever did for my non-JW mother. I was young and I never gave it much thought. I have been on this board now for almost three months and now believe his reason for doing it was so the elderly would leave all of their money and propery to the WTBTS.
It was only recently that I discovered people could/would leave their estates to the borg. I have reunited with others of my age group, who left when they were 18, and told them about this. They were shocked and are now concerned about their still JW parents.
If you have no family to leave it to, then it's a private decision. It just doesn't seem right to not leave it to family because they didn't belong to the same religious org.

my favorite grandma died of cancer shortly before i was engaged.
her sisters including the recently deceased, stepped up and bought me all my china for my wedding.
they attended my wedding, for her and all said they would be my substitute grandmas.
Sorry Unique. This subject got me into my own rant. My condolences for your loss.

I have been there more than once Unique. My mother was not a JW so I was told about any family passings as they happened. She passed ten years ago and there have been several family and JWs that have died and I wasn't informed until years later. My dad knew and it makes me feel lower than Satan because he won't call and tell me.

Feed your pet and then remove the bowl.
You didn't mention the type of ant. If it's the tiny one's, they also are attracted to water and your coffee maker will be the next target. Store bought ant spray will work. Keep pets away from it until it dries. They will dissappear in a few days.
If it's the bigger ant (carpenter ants) then you have a bigger problem. Both can be solved using an exterminater and you will only have to worry about your pet for about the first three hours of application.
diatomaceous earthI don't recommend using this. I work with it and I wear a dust mask because it is a respiratory irratant.
even for a "rat", i had goosebumps this morning when i saw a tiny mouse caught in a mouse trap, that exterminators installed here and there, in this building yesterday.
yesterday, a lady in another apartment had an apple chewed up on her sink, during the night.
like a good city person, i wore gloves and had a pair of pliers, to remove the critter from that trap....lol i didn,t want to get into contact with that in anyway.
You got my memory going. Last fall I had just woke up and gone down to the basement to have a cigarette. My wife doesn't smoke so I go downstairs. As I sat there a mouse ran across the top of the foundation and jumped up into another area of insulation. It came back and repeated this two more time's. Barely dressed and fresh out of bed I did not want to deal with it yet. Then, a huge snake came out(a milk snake with patterns on it that look like a rattlesnake) following the trail of the mouse. It climbed up into the insulation where the mouse went. I waited a couple hours and then I removed the insulation and found the snake with a mouse tail dangeling from it's mouth and I also found three baby mice with no hair. The snake and I became friends and I moved it outside. The baby mice found a new home in the sewer.
