Tears in heaven-Eric Clapton

Dont cry-Seal
i've been kind of sad the past few days for several reasons, but, there are certain songs that just cause the tears to flow whenever i hear them (and especially alone).
only time by enya.
i know that this song is often linked to the sept 11 attacks, but it really is just so hauntingly beautiful.

if there is no god, does this make us the most intelligent animal?.
I am an Atheist. To me there is no god.
If we are part of the animal kingdom, then we are the most intelligent. But are we? Believing in something we cannot see or prove doesn't seem intelligent.
Animals create and destroy with instinct, to survive. Without knowledge of good and bad.
Man can create. Man can destroy. Man can create thing's to destroy. Good or bad, man does this with knowledge of it's good and bad.
Where we came from is less important to me than what we have learned getting here, and what I have to do to get me into tomorrow.
someone was asking for a scanned copy of the memorial invitation, so here it is, front and back.
i've uh, revized it a bit to say what they really mean.
please feel free to distribute to anyone you think might be interested in attending.
Brilliant!
rather than hijack another thread and inspired by fullofdoubtnow and dedpoets music for the wedding thread i thought i would start a little "dedications" thread - this isn't the sort of dedication symbolised by dunking though!.
(i expect to see ggbg and ofg here forthwith for some romantic dedications).. i'd like to dedicate the following to someone special - "bodies - by drowning pool" .
they probably wont see this, but the thought that counts!.
From Boston to Seattle, to the young lady I knew as a teen and haven't seen since we were forced apart.
We were born in this little town
Growin' up I was countin' down
Every single day till we made our get-away
But you said you could never see yourself
Trying to make a life anywhere else
This would be your home
And I was on my own
But ever since you said good-bye
I've been out here on the wind
And baby you would be surprised
All the places you have been
I've seen you in Albuquerque waitin' out a blizzard
Arizona dancin' 'cross the desert
Watchin' the sun set in Monterey
Girl I swear just the other day you were
Down in Georgia pickin' them peaches
Carolina barefoot on the beaches
No matter where you choose to be
In my heart I'll always see you
Everywhere
Now a days when I'm passin' through
The conversation always turns to you
I hear you're doin' fine
Livin' out by the county line
Got a man that's home every night
A couple of kids and the kind of life
That you want to leave
Guess you could say the same for me
But you and I made our choices
All those years ago
Still I know I'll hear your voice
And see you down the road
Maybe in
Oklahoma drivin' 'cross the prairie
In Dallas Texas isn't that where we
Always said we would like to try
But never did so maybe that's why
You're on every highway just beyond the high-beams
Right beside me in all of my sweet dreams
No matter where you choose to be
In my heart I'll always see you
In..
Albuquerque waitin' out a blizzard
Arizona dancin' 'cross the desert
Watchin' the sun set in Monterey
Girl I swear just the other day you were
Down in Georgia pickin' them peaches
Carolina barefoot on the beaches
No matter where you choose to be
In my heart I'll always see you
Everywhere

This is to my kid's. I was a better dad than my dad was.
I pulled into the shopping center
And saw a little boy wrapped around the legs of his mother
Like ice cream melting they embraced
Years of bad decisions runnin' down her face
All mornin' I'd been thinkin' my life's so hard
And they wore everything they own, livin' in a car
I wanted to tell him it would be ok
But I got just got in my suburban and I drove away
But I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
Keep having this dream about my old man
I'm 10 years old, and he's holding my hand
We're talkin' on the front porch watchin' the sun go down
But it was just a dream he was a slave to his God and he couldn't be around
So many things I wanna say to him
But I just placed a rose on his grave, and I talk to the wind
But I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
I don't know why they say grown men don't cry, don't cry
I'm sittin' here with my kids and my wife
And everything that I hold dear in my life
We say grace and thank the Lord
Got so much to be thankful for
Then it's up the stairs and off to bed and my little girl says
"I haven't had my story yet."
And everything weighin' on my mind disappears just like that
When she lifts her head off her pillow and says,
"I Love You Dad"
I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
And I don't know why they say grown men don't cry
I don't know why they say grown men don't cry, don't cry

For many reasons this is for me.
How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me,
when all I can do is watch you leave
Cos we've shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now, oh there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Ooh take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against all odds and that's what I've got to face
I wish I could just make you turn around,
turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
so many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face
Now take a look at me now, cos there's just an empty space
But to wait for you, is all I can do and that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now, cos I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
It's the chance I've gotta take
Take a look at me now

i'm "tarty smurf".
http://www.quizopolis.com/smurf_name.php.
Mine came up the same as Abandoned. Sweet Toothed Smurf. How is that? Could we share the same legal name? Is there a reverse lookup on this?
a question i have had for awhile, is just how did rutherford support his wife and child or did he?
did he use funds from the donations or what?.
my guess is that he used money from the wtbts to support them if he did at all.
He had his own cleaning business!
dunkin' donuts is offering free iced coffees today to celebrate the first day of spring.. i'm buying for everyone on jwd!.
who doesn't love spring?
!.
Last week it hit 70 here. There were butterflie's and bee's flying around. Today, there is 8 inches of snow on the ground and it is 16 degrees outside. Doesn't feel like spring to me.
In my KH, the elder, or whomever did the meeting, bought the wine and the saltine crackers. WTF, it only cost five buck's.
