  Why Can’t You Just Accept That It’s The Truth!

  personally, i suffered a great deal in the truth because of independent thinkingthinking like satan.. what about youre experiences?as a witness, did you feel doubts or questions come into your mind and if you dared, .

  voiced your opinion on the matter, were you disciplined for it?

  Raised as a dub, I was not just disciplined, I was beaten.

  I suffered physically, emotionally and mentally until I was 18.

  I conformed, just to protect myself.

  There is a dividing line between a personnal acceptance of the truth and having someone else's acceptance of the truth forced on you.

  Go to the dictionary and look up acceptance. Willingness is the key word. You can accept what you want, but you have to accept the fact that others will accept what they want.

  You dubs are great at preaching. You are poor at practicing what you preach because you are so devout to preaching you have no time to practice. You don't even have any self devotion. You are motivated by a book written by men and retranslated by men thousands of times.

  Your Jehovah is number one to you. Second is this and third is that and eventually you might come to your wife and children.

  Why was instruction given to "abstain...from things strangled?"

  what was the reasoning behind that instruction in acts 15:20,29?.

  was it simply due to the fact that an animal dying by strangulation would retain more blood than various forms of slaughter?.

  was it in reaction to a ritual or practice that had connections to idolatry at the time?.

  Strangle can be argued. Does it's reference in the bible mean the squeezing of the windpipe to kill or does it refer to a force or action that restricts freedom? It may be an assumption to killing because the word's "abstain from blood", follow

  Abstain from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. Idols, fornication and blood are unrelated issues. Why can't strangled be an unrelated issue to blood?

  The date has now been set i now will have a step mum :(

  well where do i start as of the 21st of april 2007 i will have a step mum 2 step sisters and a step brother, and i think even a few step neices and nephews.. i will only ever see them officially on this wonderful happy one day that my dad gets married.

  oh great joy !

  other than this time i will never have anything to do with them.. now when i got the phone call to say that this wonderful event was happening it came to me that after the words that my dad had spoken to me only last week stating that he had been told by the elders that his is to limit his contact with his df children or he will be facing df himself.. when i go to this wedding i will be saying congrats to my dad and i will be sitting in the front row and will have lots to do with him as i'd say this will be last time i will ever have contact with him.

  My father remarried seven months after my mother died. He did not invite any of his children. All six of us left the Jdubs when we were 18.

  By attending the wedding, you'll have some time with your dad. And you can snub your nose at some of the Jdubs.

  i can't remember what crap excuse they gave for that one to get out of it not only being men....but all the writer had to say was 'they were virgins' if it was both sexes.. what do you think?.

  I recently had my first physical with my new doctor, a woman. She was much more thorough and caring as a doctor than all of the male doctor's I've had. I think we might be better off if all of the 144,000, were woman.

  there are many words or phrases jw's use daily and especially at the meetings.

  we all know pioneer means something different to jw's than to others, same thing for publisher and so on.. i was wondering, what the he!!

  i hear that in almost every freaking talk and i want to throw a ypa book every time i hear it.

  Did you stop singing the songs BEFORE you stopped going to meetings?

  after i found out the truth abouth the troof, i could not--- i mean physically could not---- sing a note of a jw song at a meeting.. this was way before i decided to make a plan and a final break.

  this happen to anyone?.

  I just remembered more about the singing. When I was young they always had someone, to play the piano. They switched to standard Lp33 albums with pink matching song books before I left. Have they switched to CDs with new song books since 1974?

  Would U Be Offended If A Lesbian Couple Showed Affection in A Public Place

  in missouri at a ihop, a lesbian kissed another female (her gf) on the cheek, once while sitting in the restaurant.

  the manager went over to the ladies and told them they were not welcomed there and therefore had to leave.

  the women described the kiss on the cheek as a similar type of kiss to an "uncle".

  Hugs and cheek kissing would be acceptable anywhere. If I saw a man propose to a woman in a resturant, I would expect a respectable kiss on the lips. A same sex couple would have the same expectation, in that situation. Otherwise, if I didn't like it, I would mind my own business. Holding hands and a tasteful kiss are signs of affection that we shouldn't have to be embrrassed about.
