  Hubby and I are about to have 3 major life changes.....Whew!

  first news is that we are going to be moving to nc from tx in the next couple months....we are so happy about that!

  hubby grew up there, and we have his family there.

  hubby got a new job with in his company, so he will be learning new things and meeting new people....a good change for him.. and the biggest....we are likely to get full custody of his 3 and 5 year old girls...and move them with us.

  Abandonment

  most of the time i'm ok with the problem i'm about to discuss.

  it just seems that occasionally it hurts me more than others.. for those of you who's family are all jws: it was hard to leave all of your family behind but for whatever reason, it made you happier to go than to stay.

  after you left, did you ever get scared that those in your new life would abaondon you as well?

  People do come and go. The older you get, the faster they go it seems. A friend sent me this, I thought it was interesting.

  As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't

  supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart

  broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break

  hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight

  with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.

  You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose

  someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like

  you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a

  minute of happiness you'll never get back.

  Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never

  begin.

  Specific banned shows, songs, etc...?

  i know the society tells people not to listen to rock n roll cause its from teh satan, not to watch r rated movies because they're "worldly", etc.

  but i was wondering if folks had any specific instances where one song, one show, one movie, or whatever was singled out as being particularly 'evil', and banned on an individual basis?

  i was never a jw, but was in the worldwide church of god...the two are rather similar, i've seen many (and made quite a few myself) comparisons on the board; and i can remember as a child that every once in a while certain things would get brought up as being more evil and worldly than others.. examples of specific bans:.

  one of my sister's was found laying in the door way of her home by a neighbor.

  no one knows how long she had been there.

  she was hypothermic when they found her.

  Mini strokes-TIAs

  i had three mini strokes last july.

  i went thru a lot of tests august thru november and nothing was found.

  this past saturday, i had another one.

  Since last November, I have eliminated five of six risk factors. The last one is smoking and I am working on it. Thanks again.

  Thank you everyone. I went to emergency and spent five hours there. Bloodwork and a CT scan everything is normal, again. I am back on 325mg aspirin. If they happen again I have to go immediately to emergency, it might also be dehydration and they can pinpoint that at the time. Thanks again.

  I had three mini strokes last July. I went thru a lot of tests August thru November and nothing was found. This past Saturday, I had another one. My wife is nagging me to see the doctors again and I'm quite sure it will be the same waste of time as before. I have also resigned myself to the fact that I will either die or suffer a major stoke in the near future and there will be nothing that can be done about it. Any suggestions or experiences from anyone that might help me? Today they sent me home from work, they are afraid to find me on the floor. Stress seems to be an issue that cant be proven, I think.
