I would say that if the holy spirit directs them tomake you an elder, then you have solid evidence that the holy spirit is not amongst this people and I'd go for it, and use every bit of information you get to help captives get the hell out!

Have a new job that I hate... advise please

i changed my job four weeks ago.. i work for the same company but have just taken up a position at another site which, i hoped would allow promotion and prgression within the business.. but i am hating it!
i feel like i walked into chaos!, thats the only way i can describe it!

I would say that only the bare minimum is actually getting done by the staff and supervisors. I have requested a supervisor meeting next week where I intend to set our SMART objectives for each of them.
Its almost as if I'm not standing over them they have absolutley no initiative or drive, and I have to point out every little thing tht needs to be done.
It could well be that they are 'trying' me since I'm the newby.

I changed my job four weeks ago.. I work for the same company but have just taken up a position at another site which, I hoped would allow promotion and prgression within the business.
But I am hating it! I feel like I walked into chaos!, thats the only way I can describe it! The staff are horendous, I can count on one hand the only staff I would have employed myself, and thats out of thirty of them!
The Supervisors are scruffy, with only one out of the six showing any kind of passion or interest in his job.
Thing is I new to this site, and don't want to bail in treading on the toews of the other Managers, but I am really not happy, and I don't know if its the job that I'm really hating, or I'm unhappy at being new in the site, and having to tread carefully.
Please give me your opinion's, Do I ride the storm, or look for something else before this dreadful place drags me down with it?

the service meeting was just a sales meeting.
the book studies were simply ridiculous.

No we're not braver. Not at all. We did what was right for us.
I had to be brave, because it was a massive desission, and I KNEW what the consequences of that desission would be. But that does'nt make be braver than the next person, because my circumstances were entirley unique to me.

I think that we have to accept that everyones circumstances are different on this board. You state that although you are prepared to lose assosiates of many years, you are not prepared to lose your relationship with you children and grand children.
I would never try to influence you in your choise, ... unless you came here asking for my opinion.
I FULLY UNDERSTAND why you have made the choice you have made to remain a fader in order to maintain your relationships with your family.
However' my relationship with my Mother and siblings was all but destroyed by my 'fade', these righteous people then attempted to sabotage the relationship that I had with my OWN CHILDREN by trying to influence them against me and the choices I was making,
In the end the decision was to save both my children's lives and the precious relationship that I have with them as their Mother and withdraw from the religion altogether, along with my youngsters, so we could all have a measure of freedom.
I apologise for being a little quick off the mark earlier, and I appreciated the essence of what you were saying, but I hope you can see that not all situations are the same, and I said at the outset, I would only express my opinion if I were asked for it.
