Dario,
The Governing Body is still claiming Matthew 24 has a second, antitypical fulfillment, because they consider it prophecy, not narrative or parable.

AleFer,
According to this Overlapping Generation doctrine, the first group is made up of those who were Anointed in 1914, so they had to be old enough in 1914 to already be partakers at the Memorial.
The second group is made up of those who are Anointed while some of the first group are still alive.
So the second group must be old enough to know they are Anointed and partakers at the time when the last of the first group dies off.
there is a quote in the new june episode of jw broadcasting, which says isaiah 11:6 applies to people inside the congregations now who have their personalities transformed.. in the 1980's and 1990's, when i attended meetings all the time, i always heard them say this scripture had a literal fulfillment and the animals will be at peace with one another.. here is the scripture:.
isaiah 11:6 (nwt): the wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, and with the young goat the leopard will lie down, and the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; and a little boy will lead them.. after hearing the quote, i did a search on jw.org, and i found this statement regarding that scripture:.

There is a quote in the new June episode of JW Broadcasting, which says Isaiah 11:6 applies to people inside the Congregations now who have their personalities transformed.
In the 1980's and 1990's, when I attended meetings all the time, I always heard them say this Scripture had a LITERAL fulfillment and the animals will be at peace with one another.
Here is the Scripture:
Isaiah 11:6 (NWT): The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, And with the young goat the leopard will lie down, And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; And a little boy will lead them.
After hearing the quote, I did a search on JW.org, and I found this statement regarding that Scripture:
Isaiah Book 1, Pages 163-165:
Do these words not touch the heart? Notice that the peace described here results from the knowledge of Jehovah. Hence, more is involved than mere safety from wild animals. The knowledge of Jehovah will not change animals, but it will affect people. Neither on the way home nor in their restored land will the Israelites need to fear wild beasts or beastlike men.—Ezra 8:21, 22; Isaiah 35:8-10; 65:25.
14 This prophecy, however, has a larger fulfillment. In 1914, Jesus, the Messiah, was enthroned on heavenly Mount Zion. In 1919 the remaining ones of “the Israel of God” experienced release from Babylonish captivity and shared in the restoration of true worship. (Galatians 6:16) As a result, the way was opened for a modern-day fulfillment of Isaiah’s Paradise prophecy. “Accurate knowledge,” the knowledge of Jehovah, has changed personalities. (Colossians 3:9, 10) Formerly violent people have become peaceable. (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:17-24) These developments have now affected millions because Isaiah’s prophecy has come to include a rapidly increasing number of Christians with an earthly hope. (Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 60:22) These have learned to look to the time when the whole earth will be restored as a secure, peaceful paradise, according to God’s original purpose.—Matthew 6:9, 10; 2 Peter 3:13.
15 In that restored Paradise, will Isaiah’s prophecy have a further, perhaps more literal, fulfillment? It seems reasonable to think so. The prophecy gives to all who will live under the Messiah’s rule the same assurance that it gave to the returning Israelites; they and their children will not feel threatened by harm from any source—human or animal. Under the Messiah’s Kingdom rule, all earth’s inhabitants will enjoy peaceful conditions like those that Adam and Eve enjoyed in Eden. Of course, the Scriptures do not reveal every detail of what life was like in Eden—or of what it will be like in Paradise. We can be confident, though, that under the wise and loving rule of the King Jesus Christ, everything will be just as it should be.

quote in title taken from article footnote.. anyone have information on who gene hwang and yan-der hsuuw in the article are?.
why do they repeatedly state that apes turned to humans when that's not what evolutionists teach at all?.
First I just want to say I fully accept what science says about evolution, even though I have a strong Christian faith in Jesus and the Bible.
There are many, many ways that the Bible can harmonize with and complement modern science.
It's a deceptive false controversy to argue that you can only accept science OR God.
This is not an either/or situation.
watchtower, study edition, september 2015, "are you reaching the stature that belongs to christ?":.
paragraph 6: the mature christian shows humility in that he recognizes that jehovahs ways and standards are always better than his own.
[footnote: for example, older, experienced brothers may be asked to step aside from certain responsibilities and to lend support to younger brothers as they take on those responsibilities.].

He zealously preaches the good news and contributes to the unity of the congregation.i don't believe for a second that the wts can be god's chosen organization, if he does have an earthly one, especially one with such a hypocritical past.
but the question begs; why are there people professing having the heavenly calling usually found in the wts?.
does anyone know or have heard of other denominations having the genuine heavenly calling?.
OnTheWayOut,
Thank goodness none of those things are involved anymore in my personal Christianity faith.

For what it's worth, the Bible appears to show that there is only one hope/calling and God is going to bring Heaven down to the Earth, so that everyone God saves will experience both the New Heavens and the New Earth:
Ephesians 4:4: just as you were called to the one hope of your calling
Revelation 21:1-4: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. I also saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

following jesus example, we must read the bible daily, study it, and meditate on what we learn.
along with general bible study, dig into topics about which you may have questions.. you can imitate jesus by meditating on the wonderful promises jehovah has made to you.

You can imitate Jesus by meditating on the wonderful promises Jehovah has made to you. Put yourself in the picture by writing down or making a drawing of what you hope to do once God has removed this wicked system. Make a list of people whom you look forward to meeting when they are resurrected and what you would like to discuss with them. See these as God’s promises not just to mankind in general but to you personally.
while working on a comments for one of the articles in the march 15, 2015 watchtower (on types and antitypes) i decided to make a transcript of the talk that turned into that particular article.
as usual, the article that finally saw print had evolved quite a bit from the original.. anyway, here's the transcript that i also put up on the ad1914.com site.. the 2014 annual meeting program video can be found on tv.jw.org (currently found under programs and events).
the following speech can be found about the 2 hour and 8 minute mark in the video.
Thank you for posting this Gilgamesh.
I really liked David Splane's talk. He didn't hold back on saying how wrong they've been in the past
i just wanted to put it out there that i am actually truly impressed by the revised nwt.
i think it's an awesome bible version.. the only issues i have are that it should only have "jehovah" in the new testament when quoting the old, and the alternate translation of john 1:1 in the footnote should be in the main text..
