my oldest daughter is a handful.

she has a mouth that just doesn't seem to stop and today we got into it .....again.. well, after a bunch of crap coming out of her mouth, i smacked her on the arm and told her to quit the talking to me that way.. then, it got worse when she kicked me.

geez, how would you have dealt with this kind of thing.. i told her i'm going to send her to a camp this summer where they put her on a giant kite (parasailing) and make her fly off a cliff.

Yeah, it's tough.

Even from the teen side. I have a hard time trying NOT to disrespect my mom. It's a hard thing not to automatically do.

Technically, the reason it happens is cuz a teen wants to get out. Animals leave the home as soon as thier capable of having children, so they don't get pissed at thier parents. But humans have to stay several years longer, so they lash out in an effort to make thier parents kick them out.

It never works...or else I'd be on the street :P .

I guess the best way would to give her more freedom....Don't ask me how.

Or a boyfreind....call me....

Lazy teenager....need help before I lose it!!!

i have a teenage daughter and she is very lazy.

we have to get on her constantly to get her room clean, when asked about her progress, her answer is always"i am working on it".

then when we check, it is usually worse than the day before.

howard gardner, a professor of education at harvard university, is renowned for laying out the theory of multiple intelligences (mi), which argues that the customary views of intelligence are too narrow.

whilst traditional iq tests measure verbal and mathematical skills, mi theory maintains that humans have multiple intelligences.. included in these are spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic (movement), interpersonal skills, intrapersonal and naturalist (understanding and classifying objects in nature).

so whilst some may not be to 'hot' on mathematics they may be great musicians or wonderful at understanding human beings.

Hey, I'm good with that psychological stuff.

People are just so simple. I've been able to figure out why people around me act the way I do.

The only times I can't is when I don't have enough information.

I only got around 115 on the IQ test (I was disapointed :P I feel smarter than that!) . Know any free websites that would offer one?

the idea is to build a literal fence along the us border, hundreds of miles long and costing millions of dollars, in order to keep out illegal aliens.. damn you canadian outlaws!

when i try to watch something, it keeps pausing, play for 2 seconds then pause for eternity before plays again.

i'm new to this.

any suggestions?

I've got dial up, same problem.

I just pause it for a while, 15 minutes usually, then start watching.
