  All Christians Should Accept EVOLUTION

  it is time for christians to accept evolution, in my opinion.. there are many reasons why i think it is long overdue for all christians to finally accept what science says about evolution.

  below i will show these reasons.. .

  the bible tells people to pay attention to nature to see the glory of god (psalm 19; romans 1:19-20).

  ALL x-tians should accept science because it's based on logic and evidence. Not to do so is illogical. However, the inherently illogical nature of x-tianity never stopped x-tians believing in it so why change now?

  When it comes to the point where science conflicts with the teachings of the babble or a belief system such as x-tianity, then then babble/belief system should be disregarded for it is based on nothing.

  When parts of the belief system have to be discarded because science is in conflict with it, then it places question marks over the remainder of the belief system and the credibility of the whole belief system is brought into question.

  This is why people hang on for dear life to their beliefs, even in the face of logic and common sense.

  To believe in x-tianity and evolution is two-faced. However, x-tians have been two-faced throughout their existence in that they have raped, pillaged, enslaved and murdered their way through history and STILL claim that their religion is one of peace and love.

  Be careful with the common sense thing. There are many on this site who were talked into believing in God and Satan and the bible, based on common sense, who today don't believe a word of it.

  The two underlined and emboldened words are mutually exclusive.

  ... but I keep my mind open until it's proven one way or the other.

  I have an open mind too - but not so open that my brain has fallen out.

  No one is asking anyone to believe in atheism because Dawkins said so. It's a conclusion many have come to after considering much evidence from many sources.

  Many are ignoring the evidence and believing in god anyways.

  Dawkins doesn't do anything for you? Great! You've still got to do your homework; what evidence do you have for a god?

  Even after 2,000 years, there's still no evidence. Wake up to reality people.

  I believe agnosticism is the only position that a true scientists can take.
  

  In everyday life, we are constantly faced with situations for which there is no proof one way or the other. In such situations, we make a decision based on 'common sense' and/or logic.

  It says in the babble that god created heaven and Earth in 6 days and, was so knackered, that he had to rest on the seventh day. So, we have this ever so powerful sky wizard that can create whole universes and yet needs a rest now and then. Does that sound believable to you?

  It says in the babble that god created day and night on day 2 I think? Two days later, on day 4?, god created the Sun and the stars. So, we have a god that is so powerful that he can create night and day and yet doesn't understand light because he doesn't create the Sun until two days later. Does that sound believable to you?

  It say in the babble that god created Man. Well, Man, as a biological entity, works, sort of, but the design ain't great.Let's put it this way, DNA wasn't one of god's greatest inventions. Does that sound believable to you?

  I could go on but, on the balance of probability, god ain't looking a good bet.

  Agnostics claim that there isn't any proof one way or the other that god exists. That's true. There isn't. However, based on common sense and on the balance of probability, there's more proof against god than there is for him existing.

  For me, the only sensible position to take is Atheism. It's certainly the most likely and the most probable.

  Dawkins. in one of his Youtube vids, though extremely reluctantly, states that he believes that the chances of god existing is less than 1%. I got the feeling from the vid that he only puts the odds this high is because he can't actually prove that god doesn't exist.

  Yet, the majority of US citizens believe in god as do the majority of a so-called godless Europe.

  Thank you for acknowledging evolution as a random process. I get upset when I see some people on Twitter claim it's not random.

  It's random in so much as the mutation process is. The preferential selection of the mutations is not.

  * the faithful and discreet slave is only the governing body and only since 1919.. * the faithful slave was appointed in 1919 by jesus but it will not receive its greater authority until the judgment of the sheep and goats.. * charles taze russell was not part of the faithful and discreet slave.. * there was no slave for 1900 years before 1919.. * there may not have been any anointed during those 1900 years, but it's possible there were a few.. * 1935 was not the cut-off date for the selection of the anointed-- this selection is still ongoing.

  * 1935 has no special biblical significance.. * 1918 has no special biblical significance.. * gog of magog is not satan, but is a coalition of nations, who may be ruled by the mysterious king of the north.. * there is no evil slave class.

  The Case for Theism

  "theism" here means "belief in a god" or "the worldview that an intelligent designer created the universe and life.

  " ("god" here means a being with a mind who initiated and/or wound-up the universe, and designed life on earth)the most common claim that i see atheists making on twitter, is that "no evidence" exists in support of belief in a god.this post will remove any excuse atheists have for claiming "no evidence exists" in support of an initiator.

  atheists can still reject this evidence as "weak," but they cannot truthfully say it does not exist.now, it is true that we do not have "observable, repeatable, falsifiable, empirical, scientific" evidence conclusively proving that an initiator exists, but we do have many lines of philisophical, experiential, and logical evidence.and... here... we... go:1:) many leading scientists, including stephen hawking, say that the space-time-matter universe had a beginning at the singularity/big bang.

  I think at times many people attach a number of world-views to atheism incorrectly.

  Not surprised given that we can't even agree amongst ourselves what the hell Atheism actually is!
