  I wonder what this will do to peoples consciences ,no god, so no higher authority apart from mankind.

  christstains think that they can do whatever they want - just as long as they go and say sorry to their invisible friend afterwards. katlicker priests have been getting away with it for years. We've tried it the sky wizard's way for long enough. How about trying it Man's way for a while? Then we can put these evil monsters behind bars where they belong. I for one am sick to the back teeth of their church having the priest say 3 hail mary's, 2 our father's and a partridge in a pear tree as a penance and then moving him on to a place where the congregation doesn't know about his past.

  As a biological piece of engineering, the human body is a piss poor effort. god must have been smokin' something he shouldn't have been at the time if he designed us, that's all I can say.

  No biologist creates something as wonderful as a woman's pleasure beach and then places it next to the sewage works.

  What kind of an idiot designs DNA in such a way that it is possible to mutate in such a way that cancer results?

  You telling me that someone creates something as complex as the human mind in such a way that it is prone to getting Alzheimer's later in life?

  I could go on and on about what a disaster the human body is. It works, yes. But not well. It's all too obvious that it evolved.

  You still can't speak of disbelief in God in polite circles in most of the US.

  There are parts of the UK where that's true also, especially in small towns and villages where everyone knows everything about everyone else and, what they don't know they make up. That said, I couldn't give a flying fart about convention and being polite. I got past that one long ago.

  Even though science has made extraordinary advances, it still has not found the origin of life.

  You forgot to add the word 'YET' to the end of that sentence. Man hasn't found the origin of life YET. But, Man will and, when he does, it wont have anything to do with a deity because they don't exist.

  And, just because Man hasn't found the origin of life, IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT A SKY WIZARD WAS RESPONSIBLE.

  People here may well be 'junior evolutionists' as you put it, but what they aren't are idiots who believe in superstitious nonsense such as god.

  So the quest for a man made theory through existence from nothing would be equally preposterous.

  Please go away and read about M-theory and whilst your here, perhaps you would like to explain the origins of god?

  being in a good mood that particular day, i told them that if they could prove that god existed, i'd become a jovie - and i meant every word.. they gave me two documents which they asked me read and told me that they'd be back in a week.

  According to your argument then, it's impossible for even a simple protein molecule to have emerged on its own.

  Therefore, god did it.

  But, god can't have done it because god is a figment of Man's imagination therefore, the mechanism that we assume to have created proteins must be wrong.
