Thanks for the responses....
Penny, I have never heard of that either. My semi-dub step dad said..."Well that could happen....lookat all the teachers having sex with the students" And that relates in WHAT way?? They are so BRAINWASHED!
she just told me last night that she has a part.
it is with her dad.
she will be talking about a music teacher "making fun" of her for not participating in singing holiday songs.

She just told me last night that she has a part. It is with her dad. She will be talking about a music teacher "making fun" of her for not participating in singing holiday songs. I asked her if that really happened to her, or if it is just pretending...and she said "It is pretending". I am so glad I am able to realize that this is how they do it.....and maybe she will not be so blind to the dubs as I was.(PS...she is almost 9)
She has to do this part for all 3 of their assemblies in the circut....I guess it is not easy to get people to do the parts nowadays. She also has to wear pantyhose and closed toed shoes....Ahhhhhh....I remember the days! I told her that a-lot of girls think it must be a man that invented pantyhose!! (She totally thought that was funny!)
I am proud of her though, and I told her this experience will be so good for her because it will give her some lessons in speaking to groups and not get to scared....and that will be good later in life. I try to put a positive, realistic spin on it.

tearful because of my vietnam watchtower flashbacks of being.
one of jehovahs witnesses.. sad to say, these dreams come back to haunt me in a negative way.. do you ever dream of still being stuck in the organization?are there times in which you find yourself back in the kingdom.
They still "haunt" me too. Usually I am at the Hall...and no one knows I am disfellowshipped. There is ALWAYS drama.....I wish I didn't have those dreams anymore.
i think this would really take off......instead of hiring "strippers" for a party....get "dressers"!!
get wemon with less than perfect bodies...but big personalities (it would be a must to be able to do this) go to a party with very little clothing and get paid to "put it on!!!
" the whole idea would be for a laugh and fun....no alterior motives.
Well....thanks for the "nice" kind of sarcasm...LOL! I guess that is why it is not already a business then.
PS...I was only meaning to be funny with the thread
ive been designing my oldests graduation invitation for the last couple of days.
noticing not for the first time, how handsome he has become.
everybody loves him.
Om my goodness...You poor thing! I cannot imagine when the kids leave. Just know you did do the best you could, and he sounds like a great kid, so you really did a great job. Plus, it is not good bye for good. This next chapter in life is exciting for both of you.
Lots of hugs to you!

Well....My idea is that they come in a skimpy bikini and put on regular "day to day" clothes.
I would be a Megs momma madam!! LOL!
I am not going to do this, because I will soon have 3 girls full time (ages 3,5,and 1), and I am fortunate to not have to earn $$...But, I think it would be funny.

I thought of this with my hubby's bachelor party.....Everyone was disappointed there would not be strippers...so I really wished there was something like this out there...I would have done it in a heart-beat!
i have heard two vastly differing viewpoints on this subject over the years.
regarding your significant other, would you care if they went to a strip club or not?
some examples: .
Not for us. I always said my hubby CAN go if he wants to, but then I get to go to a MALE strip club too. He said he never wants to go
hey y'all, it's official!
openfireglass flew to wisconsin a few weeks ago and we (mostly he) packed up my stuff and we (both of us!
) drove my car across the country.
Wow...what a move! I love moving though. It is so fun to get new things to do and see...and fun for OFG to show them to you. I wish you the best!!!!
I will be moving soon too...from TX to NC. We couldn't get any further from eachother
Ps.....Did you ever see my thread about where you "predict" someone's life will be in 5-7 years? It was funny to see Richie-Rich "predict" this for you!!
my mom and dad love my son, but i also know because of the depth of their brainwashing, they won't be respectful of my parenting (as i've asked them) and will try to "plant seeds" with him.
he's only 7, loves his grandma and papa very much and is easily confused and distressed when he gets conflicting info.
since we left the dubs, we've had a couple different run-ins with my parents trying subtle and not so subtle means to get at my son, or more accurately, get at me.
I agree with all that has been said. Even if you spend time depreogramming after, he may start having some mental anguish over it all...and it would just be better to not have to try to fix him after every time.
It is different for evey kid though. My sister was never baptised and she doesn't go, but lets our mom take her girls. They are 9 and 11. The 11 year old doesn't seem too affected, but the 9 year old is really confused. She is more of the type that wants to please g-ma...and be"special" in some way (by making g-ma...who is weird...happy)
You know your son, do what you feel is right. You may save him from lots of pain later in life though by having him "give up" on the few happy times they would give him now.
