by jakes inthe refusal by jehovahs witnesses to accept life-saving blood transfusions is one issue that constantly throws the organisation into the spotlight.
blood transfusions have been banned by the jehovahs witnesses, whether it be whole or fractional, since 1945. the technicalities surrounding this issue even confuse many die-hard witnesses as this doctrine is in a constant state of flux.
many are not sure what is acceptable practice and what not.. .

Family is shunning us.
by AgentSmith inmrs smith and i have faded away for many years.
we knew the day will come that we would be questioned directly what our stand is.. this past holidays we were confronted by our jw family.
we told them the truth, we are not jw's anymore and that we go to any church that strikes our fancy.

This past holidays we were confronted by our JW family. We told them the truth, we are not JW's anymore and that we go to any church that strikes our fancy. We were told we are apostates, and told to get out of their house. A short dramatic confrontation, and it was all over.
I was very angry, upset and I lost my cool. Mrs Smith handled herself very nicely. We said what we could to make them see some reason, but alas....
After all this time I thought I would be better prepared, but the feeling of hurt and anger still got me. I feel betrayed, this is supposed to be my flesh and blood. But then, I know that they are being told the same thing, we betrayed the orginization and how we have 'attached oursleves to the darkness' etc etc....
Rather walk alone with honesty, than stumble along in crowd of lies.

Mother tells me to "F-off"
by LouBelle inon saturday night my mother & i went for dinner, along with that we had a couple of glasses of wine.
she got a bit tipsy and he tongue loosend up.
she started talking about her ex husband & if she should get back together with him - i mentioned she must be careful as she wouldn't want a repeat of what she's been through.. she started saying "vok jou" which means f*ck you & that i have never been supportive of her and that - which is bs.

Do any of you in, actively try to get people out?
by cognac inhowever, sometimes i have a tendency to say to much.
one of these days i'm gonna get in trouble for it again... i just recently told my sil that the blood thing doesn't bother my conscience.
i told another close friend that i was relieved my husband was no longer reaching out to be an ms because i didn't want to have to deal with the pressure all the time.

Yes, I do. Family...., I have to tread carefully there, I drop 'seeds of doubt' when I see an opportunity. I was a fully fledged, card carrying, JW super freak. And no ways would I listen to any criticism of the Organization. I had to see for myself, and make up my own mind. Nothing less will work on them either. But I tell all I can on the outside of the BORG what the JW's are about, and thus ensuring they don't convert anyone on my watch. Agent Smith

Welcome JWWA. Those elders and with their uncaring attitude actually did you a favor. They are so hung up on the rules, that they have no compassion. Mrs Smith and I did a presentation last night to a small group. Showed the Memorial and the blood video. It does pack a punch. And the expressions from those who never knew what JW's are about is disbelief. We always get a chuckle with the memorial vid, the line is 'taking a sip anyway, priceless!!' Brothers who were Gay but couldn't admit/accept it! Did you have some?
by Witness 007 ini have come to realize that being gay is something you are just born with....so why judge them if it's like being born a certain race.. a brother g_____ i knew was a zealous pioneer pushing 43 years old.
he never married though the sisters thought he was dreamy and he had plenty of offers....."she's not for me" he would always, many times tell me some excuse.
he loved to give only brothers a big hug...say if you gave a public talk or something.

Yes. He was in Primary school, he hung out with the girls. I should have realized then already. But he was my mate and he was part of the neighborhood kids who hung out after school. That was until his parents moved away. Saw him many years later, now looking and acting very gay. A bit camp like Jack_McFarland in Will and Grace. Not seen him since. Hopefully he escaped the system unharmed. ...Agent Smith

Cause they aren't worth a story!

they are already on the decline in the modern world they've only been around for about 15 minutes in a historical context and they are considered by anyone who's not directly tied to them to be a fringe cult group!.
see to get a story on a major tv show that has national and worldwide viewership it has to be something that a lot of people would be interested in and guess what witnesses aren't it!
