Yes, the majority seems to have the same idea of commemorating Jesus death in a private setting. I LOVE IT...I'm there. LOL

Dear Beer Connoisseur: That is JUST what I have been doing all day....I know of what you speak, and do not feel at this time any guilt of not attending...Except I'll miss the "Easter Oufits" the women brake out for the Memorial, 'cause they can't use them on Easter!! ha ha ha Thanks again. You guys are TRULY friends! Going back to my bible now. I guess it's just hard to break a habit like this one. However, last year when I started having some major issues, I did not enjoy the memorial, and found it not as satisfying as previous times. In fact, I remember it being slightly creepy. LOL

I just want to thank you ALL so kindly for helping me with this kind of in-decision. You are ALL right. I am no longer part of this organization, I don't believe they are the true religion, so what was I thinking??? I don't drink, so I'll have grape juice and matzo at home. Love you all.

Ray Franz Comments on Y.M.C.A.
by compound complex inray franz states that, according to governing body decisions on matters of faith, fault found with certain of a religion's teachings makes said faith, in its totality, unacceptable to god.
therefore one's association in that religion renders one unclean.
as a consequence, a jehovah's witness would be disfellowshiped for joining the y.m.c.a.

I'm not "Following" Ray Franz or his "thinking". But towards the end of my association I asked a lot of questions about the governing body and was told most of them were of the "annointed". Ray Franz cleared that up for me and I knew I was being lied to, thats why I left!

Both of his books made me see the light, that's for sure!!!!! Can't say enough about them. A must read for anyone on the borderline before considering Baptism into the organization.

The Lord's prayer, why JW's never say it
by moomanchu inwe all know it's not an issue if people say the lord's prayer or not, but except for the fact that jw's make it an issue.
to them it's kinda like the boogie man and to say it makes you part of christendom, ripe for destruction.. this thread is in response to another thread.i finally took some time to look into information to make a reply.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/130602/2.ashx.
a jw commented on that thread.

excuse me, but you first asked "What kind of prayer would you say in 8 DIFFERENT RELIGIONS". I asuumed you menat Buddism, etc! Not Christiona religions. If I were with all dknds of Christian demoninations, I would say waht ever prayer came into my head. MY WAY, MY RELIGION. And saying my prayer to be heard in Jesus name.

several nwt hardcover bibles, chinese bibles (lots of chinese students in our town), insight on the scriptures, concordances, a few bound volumes, song books, km books, reasoning books, the entire bible on audio tape, and more.

Started studying in 1968..stopped in 1970...Witness women always brought me ALL lastest books. Saved them all on a bookcase. Started studing in earnest 3 years ago, last year ended it forever. Took all books and put in a box hidden in closet. Actually, I remember in the 70's putting out some books with a sign FREE. No one took any. Magazines in recyling box. GONE! Back to the box in closet. Don't know why I don't toss them. Could always donate to Kingdom hall. Leave in from of door when they are closed. But I have notes, etc in them. I hate to throw books out anyway. Good question. What do you suggest? I have to get a new Bible too. I like the Scofield 1909 edition. But again, all my "witness" bible have notes, etc in them from 1967!!!!
