The new Bible is amazing! They rightfully restituted the name Governing Body on the Book of Acts!

by pixel in"your web site is one of the best gifts that jehovah has given to people like me.n.f., sri lanka.. so, jehovah waited how many years until he could come out with a website as a gift?.
"caleb, the little boy in the jw.org video series become jehovahs friend, is now known all over the world".

"Your Web site is one of the best gifts that Jehovah has given to people like me.”—N.F., Sri Lanka.
So, Jehovah waited how many years until he could come out with a website as a gift?
And...
"Caleb, the little boy in the jw.org video series Become Jehovah’s Friend, is now known all over the world"
Maybe he is more famous than Mickey Mouse?
This 2014 YB is crazy.

Yet another problem with GB = FDS
by leaving_quietly ini was pondering this teaching yesterday.
the claim is that jesus and jehovah came and inspected all the religions and in 1919, chose rutherford as the fds.
today, the claim is that the governing body is the fds.

They say the GB was chosen on 1919... but the GB appeared as we know it today around 1970. Before that, no GB, just one-man-show.

Contradictory Timelines - Do they REALLY think we are this stupid?
by piztjw inso in today's wt, as brought out in another thread, it is the nations that make the declaration of "peace and security.
" yet just a few paragraphs later they claim, in answer to their own question of who declares "peace and security", that the bible doesn't say.. in the very next paragraph they say that angels are holding back the destructive winds of the great tribulation.
to answer their next question as to what those angels are waiting for they say the wait is for the "annointed" to receive their second sealing, referring to a 2007 q/r which says the second sealing is finished only when the "annointed" (including the gb) are in heaven.

Some vs Many
by Londo111 init is interesting how the watchtower uses these two words.
for instance, the word some is often used to minimize, and many used to maximize.
and yet, it is so unspecific that some might be a greater quantity than many, yet the mind doesnt process these words this way.. for instance, if it is a failed prediction or a changed teaching, they might say, some believed... when it fact some means most or all, because this was food at the proper time coming from gods channel through the watchtower.

the jewish generation that heard that prophecy in the first century saw the fulfillment of jesus prophecy about jerusalem come true less than four decades later, when jerusalem was destroyed in the year 70 c.e.

But why is there reason to hope that this changeover may take place even within the present decade?
Crazy. Thanks for the quote. Wonder why this is not included in the WT Library.

WT's Crazed Obsession!
by JW GoneBad ini have recently read for the umpteenth time the 4 gospel accounts.
what caught my attention this time around was how many times jesus makes mention of the endeared expression father (with f in caps) when referring to his god as recorded by matthew, mark, luke and john.. what was also interesting by comparison is how little jesus actually makes reference to his father on a first name basis (jehovah) in these four books.. note my findings with the help of the comprehensive concordance:.
jehovah: matthew 11 times mark 8 times luke 26 times john 4 times (total 49 times).. father: mathew 43 times mark 4 times luke 21 times john 119 times (total 187 times).. .

Do you have the actual verses where Jesus said "Jehovah"?
