JW are experts in picking one scripture out of the bible and making a whole doctrine out of it such as blood, name of Jehovah, torture stake, preaching of the kingdom and not Jesus and on and on.

According to the Watchtower the flood happened in 2370bce, that's 4700 years ago. The flood came and destroyed all things even millions of species of insects and would have taken hundreds of years for Noah and his kids to populate the earth and for all kinds of nations and culture to develop. Chinese culture is 8000 to 10000 years old. The watchtower forgot to explain this one. Adam was created in 4026 bce......only 6k years ago.........also a little problem there too. Human have been around a little longer than that.

since you are taking this all literally, perhaps you need to re-read the verses carefully.
if parts of this verse are to be taken figuratively then how do you determine the number, 144,000 to be literal?.

Former Longtime Elder : Contributions
by James Jackson infor a year now, i have been handling the accounts.
we have 6 elders and 7 ms, and none of them ( i am not serving), want to do the accounts, so they asked me to do it.
here is what i have noticed.. 4 elderly sisters cover the whole congregation in donations monthly!

Not at all, JW have always been very cheap in giving. Maybe they justify it by the fact they spend time in service,using their cars and gas.
How different from many other religion( which i have no use for) where they give 10% or more of their income.
I know many needy Mormons where the church is paying their rent or mortgage.Witnesses would never do that for their members.

Mom & Dad (Uber Dubs) and convo about child abuse within the BORG
by El_Guapo inso i tt mom and dad via skype last weekend (they live on the other part of the county) and the topic of abuse came up.
of course they went ahead and blasted catholics for their coverups.
i mentioned gonzalo campos, now mom and dad know this guy he went to their hall for several years in san diego.

How can I stop hating the JW religion?
by marriedtoajw inhaving this spiritual division between my wife and i over the years has been very draining in many ways.
so much so that i find myself more and more hating everything having to do with the wtbts especially when i just see watchtower literature.
i've kind of always felt that way but it's getting worst.

I despise the Governing Body because i feel they know the religion is a scam and the claim that Jehovah is using them is a lie when they know there is no communication between them and God but they continue the deception of the millions and enjoy living as kings.
I cannot hate people that have been brainwashed as i was, when i see them in the street i just feel sorry for them....wasting time.
I was a happy 22year old young man, good job, cars and women. I got sucked in along with by best friend in 1975, married a good looking JW, had 3 kids. In 2007 i left after realizing it was a cult, marriage fell apart after 26 years and oldest daughter has not spoken to me since March 2009.
I just feel blessed that i saw the light and had the guts to walk away from it all .....and now enjoy a good life without living in a fantasy world of a coming paradise.
I would never encourage the break up of a marriage but for me it turned out to be good.

From 400 conventions to 100. Many Jw's will be pissed. Forcing them to travel much longer distances or to spend more money for hotels and food.
It's always about money...not enough money coming in.
Where's the God that promised to take care of them?

A wasted life.
by Crazyguy innow that i have fully awaken from this nightmare cult, it pains me to know that i have wasted most of my life.
when i was young i was a very driven boy wanting to accomplish all sorts of things.
i smart kid and an athletic one too.
