by megsmomma innot to "hash out" some "personal" issues, but to give the general public the "proof" that the society is spewing nonsense to it's members time and time again about the "end is coming" for all who are not jw's.. it would be easy to get the proof with the recording that we all have access to on here.
does anyone want to try to contact the different shows with this?
there are plenty of us who do not care who knows about our views and have nothing to "lose".

I am glad to hear there are voices out there other than mine, trying to get on the "the talks shows"
I wrote my book "Going Undercover To Rescue My Daughter, From The Cult Of Jehovah's Witnesses" just for the purpose to use as a catalyst to expose this cult. I am in the process now trying to get on the main TV talk shows, and I am thrilled to see others are trying too. I think it is the legalities that are hindering this from happening. But if there are enough of us knocking on their door, I know something will happen.
My vocus will be to expose how responsible the WTS is in causing dysfunctional families, mainly separating them through their policies of disfellowshipping, and branding those that resign like I did, as an apostate. Restricting members of your family to communicate with you. As my personal story shows I lost my daughter to this cult for 10 years before I went undercover to rescue her.
I am in communication now with a Psychologist in Penn. He has many ex-jws that he is treating for spiritual abuse. After reading my book, he has asked me for more data on cults and Jehoavah's Witnesses, which I have sent him. There is a need now, more than ever before because I believe there is great exit going on.
Thank you megsmomma for calling attention to this great need.

Hello Lurker,
It is great to hear from you. Your righteous indignation toward falsehood is being manifested and will eventually move you to action. We all have been through this process in getting out of a cult, and leaving some of our loved ones behind. I am with you in spirit.
It is not easy to blaze a trail, to be the first to carry the banner, but what we read in the bible, isn't this what God admires in a person? We all need to find our own way to accomplish a decision like this, and everyone has their own way of doing it.
When we think of how our loved ones are in a cultish mental prison, not able to exercise their own God given conscience, it becomes unbearable to watch. It is only in the name of love that will motivates one to do something about it.
If you would like to PM me, I will share some of my successful subtle ways that I used in de-programming my daughter.

What contributes to a "climate of fear" in the congregation?
by truthseeker ini was thinking about how much fear there is among jehovah's witnesses in relating to each other.. if you could read the private thoughts of jw's, you'd probably be surprised at the level of fear they have of each other.. this fear is not likely to be the morbid kind of fear, but the other kind of fear that concerns "what will people think of me?".
you watched a movie at the weekend, it was rated pg, but you are afraid to tell your friends that you went to see it.. you were only able to report 4 hours of field service that month, but you are afraid to report this number so you tweak it.. you missed several meetings due to sickness, you still feel unwell, but you fear what the congregation may think so you force yourself to go.. you went on a weekend getaway, but you are afraid to tell the friends why you were missing that weekend in case they think you put kingdom interests last.. you watched a good book, but you are afraid to talk about it to your friends because they might be stumbled.. you heard of someone who got disfellowshipped but you are afraid to ask what happened.. you were unable to take friday off for the convention, but you fear what will be said about you.. you did not auxiliary pioneer during the memorial season and you are afraid people will think of you as spiritually weak.. .
not everyone will let these things bother them, but many do.. this climate of fear and worry about what the congregation may or may not think does not contribute to a loving atmosphere.. what other things can you think of that contribute to a climate of fear?.

The Governing Body creates this climate of fear. If they have convinced you they are the "ONLY VOICE OF GOD" and your everlasting life is on line, you are in contant fear of not measuring up.
This is spiritual abuse. You feel all eyes are watching, and they are. Another sign to prove they are a CULT.

I resigned in 1983 because of the conscience issue, or I should say because of the lack of being able to excercise our conscience, I can say I have since grown into a whole person, and could not be more happy. Feeling complete.
I remember my ex-son-in-law, being so upset over my decision to leave the org, said to me: "what are you going to do now, anything you want?" I said to him: " remember, the righteous will keep on doing righteousness, and the wicked will keep on doing wickedness"

IF YOU WANT TO JUST FADE....
You will need to be patient, because it will take time. I like the idea of telling them very lovingly that you will think about it, and will try to make it. The important thing to remember is that you are the one that controlls the situation, not them. If they try to stay and talk, again, be the one that controls, and let them know you have a appointment to keep.
Always say the same thing each time, which will leave them with nothing to say, because you are always very kind and loving.
