  The Clear Biblical Case Against "The Memorial".

  hello jwners,.

  i was reading acts 20 the other day and noted how it makes a clear case against the annual "memorial" as instructed by the wt.. acts 20

  paul in macedonia and greece6 but we sailed away from philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and in five days we came to them at troas, where we stayed for seven days.. eutychus raised from the dead7 on the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and he prolonged his speech until midnight.. .

  How much clearer could it be about the frequency?

  1 Corinthians 11:25 NIV In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This is the new covenant in my blood; do this, wheneveryou drink it in remembrance of me."

  1 Corinthians 11:25 NWT He did likewise respecting the cup also, after he had the evening meal, saying: "This cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood. Keep doing this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."

  This is the first time I have really researched this without JW glasses on, and am shocked at how off they are on so many levels about the last supper, including who should be partaking.

  Hourly Pay Rates

  I worked as a legal secretary. In the city (Orlando) it pays $20.00 an hour, in suburbs $10.00. (Cheap Bast**ds) Same job, same stress. In Denver it pays about $40.00 an hour..... and more than that in larger cities.

  Just for kicks, mentioned on Snow's thread. The Census paid me 12.50 and hour in the year 2000. Now they are paying 13.75 in my area.

  My son worked for Sprint as some kind of computer expert, I believe he was earning about $45.00 and hour plus spectacular benefits, plus plenty of overtime and double pay per hour on holidays.

  hello everyone.. i'm new to this forum.

  i left the organization several months ago, and am on a new path now.

  though i didn't grow up in the organization, i have basically lived a life of pretending to be something i'm not, sheltering my feelings from everyone, and not feeling "enough" to anyone.

  long time, "big shot" elder, ....taught at km school, conventions, etc.

  yeah, i know it means nothing....but it gives you an idea of how deep i've been a jw.. i don't even really know what to write at this point.

  i am so disgusted right now, more with myself than anything.. we have this big albertsons grocery store monopoly game going where i live.....the more of certain products you buy, the more tickets you receive.

  not only are there instant winners, but then you enter codes on line.. ha....after 2 months, i've won $5.00 and a bottle of clorox beach.

  i have spent more than i ever would have normally.

  sometimes i'm lazy and just spread flavored hummus on it.

  We have a great local Jewish Deli. When ever anyone gets sick we run up and get several quarts of the Matzoh ball chicken soup and homemade rye bread.

  It has never failed to cure a horrible cold and sore throat.

  It's always nice to hear when someone you know has actually "won" a prize, or prizes in your case! Good for you, may your luck continue!

  Tec....glad I gave you a good laugh...I had the last laugh...neither son was into sports despite all the pressure from coaches, I look at them like Catholic priests looking for choir boys.

  I think in the end, we all just want to know someone won and it wasn't bogus.

  Nice going on the TV Gregor, ....although I would have wanted the car too!

  Tec, you made be laugh about buying up all the tickets for your kid!!!!! My solution at the time was to call and scream at a coach for forcing the kids to sell tickets when they needed to do homework....they were required to sell stuff untill midnight...despite poor grades.

  What I heard back was, the coach told my son......"I'm praying for you son with that mother of yours"

  I was livid. It's been so long now, but I think I promptly pulled him off the foot ball team after that.

  I pretty much run earth hour every night in this house. Lights off, as early as possible! (Infact, I start yelping if they are turned on at all during the day) Especially when my power bill is running $450.00 for the last 2 months.
