Sign the kids up for soccer and baseball , then you'll see how they feel about things, watch them grow as individuals not repressed souls that will have constant guilt. NEVER stop in influencing your wife to get out and stay out, get one of Ray Franz's books in her hands. ( talk about the light getting brighter and brighter.) and as far as finding people to hang out with, I never knew more boring people than JW's, they couldn't find fun if it came up and bit them in the ass.

Why did I answer YES ?
by Free indid anyone answer the question like i did ?
my gut always said no but my heart said yes.
i wanted to believe in living forever like in those dam pictures, i wanted to be building those houses and hanging out with people on grassy mountain sides and have a freaking lion that would never rip my head off and that i could wrestle with.

"Theocratic Warfare" - An Apostate Strategy?
by slimboyfat inwho here had ever heard of this so-called 'doctrine' of "theocratic warfare" when you were a jehovah's witness?
who has not heard of the so-called doctrine now that you are an apostate?
so why have witnesses never heard of 'doctrine', yet apostates seem to promote it as the last word on witness standards of honesty, integrity and decency?

2nd Corinthians 4:16-18 That was the scripture one of the two elders read to me in my hospital bed as I was preparing for a procedure that was needed to fix a very serious problem. If that procedure would have gone wrong (_thank god it didn't_) I would loose blood no doubt. I can't believe now what my family (all worldly) would have been feeling about my decision if something would have gone wrong. I was there, I did it, I lived it and let me tell you if they think going to stangers doors unwelcome takes courage they ain't seen nothin till this faith buster peaks its little head into the room. That scripture meant nothing at my time of decision, I was scared shitless and almost felt they where reading me my last witness rights. All I did was pray constantly from that point on and totally relied on JEHOVAH. I was one of the lucky ones as I'm sure there where ones that weren't so.

Who's to say Jesus has "approved" the FDS and "appointed them..."
by Theocrat in"...over his belongings" ???.
i think the entire system of witness beliefs hinge on this issue: is the governing body the mouthpiece that jehovah is using to lead faithful ones on earth?.
it seems jw's just assume that jesus did inspect them and did appoint them over his belongings.

Troughout the day placing a couple more. Our hole trip took about 12hours and the whole way I knew they where counting time for what they had said in the morning as well as some of the others that had placed tracts that day who were with me. That's how they get their hours ? you have got to be kidding me. I was still new as far as service went. Does anyone else have an experience like mine ?

"No need for advanced education"...
by Hecklerboy inthey just had the convetion here in west virginia and it seemed like every evening they were interviewing the witnesses on the news.
what really blew my mind is that on the last day they interviewed a brother that said that "there was no need for advanced education since the end was so near".. i was really suprised they made this statement on camera.
i know they've been cracking down on a college education lately, but this is the first time i ever heard them say it on the local news.. btw: my wife isn't very popular with my jw family since she is working on her master's degree in nursing.

I never agreed with that one, they say that so you have nothing other than them to dedicate yourself to. No participating in sports, No worldly music, Not to much internet or TV and no worldly friends. While all along that's what everybody was doing and I could never understand why when they discouraged it. There is just so much F'ed up teachings and bullshit opinions that make the monster keep rolling. They are just boring people who have these crappie gatherings, put on a happy face but inside are just miserable and weak, never speaking on their own but like a parrat repeating shit they have heard and having little proof of ,only to try and be stern when they have no answer. That they know , That's how they teach and that I was. They don't want advanced education because they want their young followers to become twisted in life and feel they need to stick to the organization, that's no secret.

Did anyone answer the question like I did ? and why did you ? did you really believe it ,or was it something else ? My gut always said no but my heart said yes. I wanted to believe in living forever like in those dam pictures, I wanted to be building those houses and hanging out with people on grassy mountain sides and have a freaking lion that would never rip my head off and that I could wrestle with. I never fully believed though that these guys from Brooklyn had some crystal ball and everything they said or suggested was gold, but I did have faith in this new world . Did anyone else feel this way or close and why the hell did I say YES ? I had years to think about it before I got baptized.
