  i have been in court three times in the past three weeks and will be in court this tuesday and next week as well.

  so far i have collected $4200.

  twenty three (23) persons have sent donations from this forum.

  it is only compelling to watch because one good slip could plunge the hapless performer to their doom!

  the balancing act, then; becomes a question of getting from point a to point b without dying!

  Terry this is great! I've got another one for you. Since we frequently use the Borg as an analogy for the Watchtower, I present the Brog mantra!
  
  "We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."
  
  Translation:
  
  "We are the Watchtower. Open your doors and surrender your pocket books. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will cease to function. Your family will be destroyed to service us. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE."
  
  Think about it. Among the rank and file, are there really any individuals? Or do they operate as one single collective entity, receiving orders in the form of magazines from the central hive, The Watchtower.
  
  Maybe fiction is not so fictious as we thought.

  I'm really sorry, that must be a very ugly way to die. Why were they just sitting on the train tracks? Was it suicide? Either way I pray God is with them and that he shows mercy despite the fact they were JWs.
  
  By the way, how long will it take the Watchtower society or even the local congregaton to publish an article making "martyrs" of them all.

  What would you expect from a guy who says it's ok to cheat on your wife as long as you use a condom? That's the lamest excuse since I was in grade school and you could have as many girlfriends as you want as long as they're in different zip codes. Notice how every cult like this is always run by males? The men always get to abuse the women while the women have no rights. As for the polygamists, you always see a man with multiple wives, never a woman with multiple husbands.
  
  Looks like we have another Charles Taze Russel on our hands.
  
  By the way, I think it's cute to post a "prophecy" after it has already failed...

  Mcsemike, you are absolutly right. That guy Eddy who said "worst case scenario is I'm wrong" is a total moron. He doesn't know, or is probably ignoring the enormous consequences if he's wrong. His happiness is dependent on the rules he follows of people he can't see, and will never know. In essence, he's saying "ignorance is bliss".
  
  As long as he's fat, dumb, and happy, it matters not how corrupt his leaders are. Well guess what Eddy, Jesus Christ took full responsibility for his words, he was not a coward like you. At any point in time, he could have run away from his followers and said "I don't want to be crucified."
  
  Plato once said that those who refuse to partipicate in their government end up being governed by their inferiors. Have a nice life Eddy, because to God, you're nothing but a waste of oxygen.

  Hey Hondo I'm really sorry about your wife, my mom had a similar indoctrination. It was right after my parents divorce, she's handicapped, and the local courts pulled a fast one on her and before we knew it we were forced homeless onto the street. She was still very vulnerable when we finally got an apartment, the three of us. One day she met a stranger in the laundromat who asked her "how would you like to walk and dance out of that wheelchair and be forever young in a paradise earth?"
  
  What kind of sick bastard says that to a 56 year old handicapped woman he never met?! Of course, she said yes without any reservation. At first, I encouraged her to be with them. I wanted her to make friends after the divorce, and since we had no car we stopped going to church. So when these people showed up, it seemed like a double blessing to me. You can imagine the gut wrenching guilt I feel to this day. For the first nine months, they didn't even mention they were JWs. They gave the APPERANCE of bible knowledge, combined with gifts of free food, clothes, and money.
  
  But then things got really creepy. I would come home from school and find a stranger JW mowing my lawn, or washing my dishes, or giving my mom a bath. They seemed to be completely oblivious to the boundaries of normal human etiquite. Instead of asking if we needed help, they would just stroll in the door and start rearranging the house. They leered at me with plastic smiles and they stunk like dollar store perfume, and their eyes had this frightning blank stare. Within nine months, my mom was beyond reasoning. No more church, no more holidays, no more friends, no more family, no more sanity.
  
  I'm sorry Hondo, I feel your pain.....

  If only someone had told me this five years ago. I had no idea the seemingly nice people befriending my mother and lavishing her with gifts had an agenda. I didn't see who they really were and how they brainwashed her until it was too late. Was it my fault? Does anyone else feel like a failure?
