I would write another letter at 2 years. If they don't respond favorably I'd write the society about it. Can't hurt your case in my opinion. Of course anyone with a different viewpoint is welcome to chime in.

High Profile Case: Seeking Reinstatement
by headisspinning inbut our situation is very difficult and quite high profile.... i was raised as a jw and my mother was very strict and abusive.
i got baptized at age 14.. my mother actually called on my (present) husband's mom in service.
she was on the initial call resulting in his mom coming in the truth and him being raised in it from about age 8 or 9.. despite a very abusive step-father, he followed his mom's lead and came into the truth.

I know of some people that get tattoos. They are typically described as "weak" ones who decide that for a personal reason they want to get inked. There is no law put upon Christians not to do this, it is a personal decision. I can tell you that there are a great many younger people 30s and younger who just aren't going to take every word said from the platform as gospel. They aren't necessarily looking to leave the JWs or get DF'd but they feel a need to express their individuality in some way.

WT Society wants Elders to Conceal Information to Psychiatrists- Elders Bk.
by flipper inmy wife and i have read carefully through chapter 5 of the new elders manual when we do our " personal study " in bed on saturday mornings !
so without further delay , notice this quote from the new elders manual, " there are times when an emotionally distressed christian may seek professional help.
whether a christian or his family pursues treatment from psychiatrists , psychologists, or therapists is a personal decision.

Sorry, it's not funny. People's lives can be ruined by idiotic policies.
Perhaps the pharisees had an edict of not helping someone that was beaten up by the side of the road, Probably a rule they made so they wouldn't been seen around the man to avoid the appearance of something improper.

LOL, this is too funny. I was talking with a couple elders one time and they both were on anti depressants. Need a shrink for that script I think?
One elder really helped someone close to me with his marriage by recommending a therapist for his wife, probably saved his marriage as his wife was really depressed and had issues. I guess with this new edict on that situation now he'd be sol since that elder would get into trouble for recommending it.

Todays WT study illustration of Jesus doing away Capitol Hill and Obama - a statement of the WTS?
by Gorbatchov ini attended the todays wt study and got notice of the illustration of jesus doing away capitol hill and barack obama.. i think the illustration passed the juridical advisors of the wts, having a blackout!
of are they trying to reach the anti government people like the tea party idiots with this kind of propaganda illustrations?.
is this a signal that the wts is anti democrats, anti obama?.

Oh, the irony! One picture counsels avoiding violent video games, and then this picture is glorifying violence!
At the least that illustration of Jesus is disturbing. I believe he is supposed to be displaying mild disgust or something, but I still don't like this illustration.

Grandma, I think it largely depends on what part of the country and what the personal attitudes towards college are with your local elder body.
However they have had the bullet to the brain analogy in District Conventions, so the party line has largely been anti college despite what your local elders think.
