Am I Being Silly?
by love2Bworldly ini have always loved accents, whether they're british, irish, scottish, australian, whatever.
i think they're so cute.
i have always wanted to date someone with an accent (of course they have to have a lot more than the accent going on).. now that i am to be divorced soon, i keep thinking next time i date (won't be for a while--i am just daydreaming about what i want) i want to meet someone with an accent.. since i don't have a lot of money to travel to other countries, am i just being silly?.

Which part of history...
by greendawn indo you particularly like, is it tudor history, ancient egyptian, greco-roman, medieval or something else?
i like the history of the second world war and i am trying to understand why a cultured and educated nation like the germans got swept away by the appeal of the beastly nazis.

You bet Juni I have frequently gone to pow wows in OK one of the best ones was in Norman OK. at that one one of the tribal elders gave me a sage blessing. I felt truly honored. I was invited to participate in the duck dance and I truly had a great time. I also learned to donate food for their food banks as many are very very poor. you would be surprised how far a couple hundred pound of rice and beans will go to help just a little bit.

I too love history I like to read about how people in Germany as others have said got swept up by Nazis, also about Native Americans as well. Back in 2001 I traveled to North and South Dakota, I visited the Rosebud indian reservation, I was appalled at the abject poverty of these people.

Are you really free from the Watchtower?
by yaddayadda inthe thread on how long it took you to get out of the organisation made me think.
i honestly think anyone that spends more than half an hour per day on anti-jw sites like this is, psychologically, not out of the organisation at all, despite their best protests.
the watchtower clearly still fascinates them to the point of an obsessive, compulsive need to frequently post on this website and others.

Probably not but you have to go on with life and it takes a while to get rid of the cancerous crap we and you have been fed. So wake up smell the flowers and enjoy life and look for the beauty in everything

How will JW's and the Society deal with the upcoming 'Centennial Season'?
by nicolaou inokay so we're still a good seven years away but before they know it the watchtower will have to deal with all those centennials, the 100 year anniversaries they hoped and prayed would never come around.. how do you suppose they'll handle it?
how should we handle it?
what on earth are any long time dubs going to be thinking?.

Seems to me setting dates is the same as sorcery, fortune telling, etc. The Bible condemns all of that I think they need to quit trying to scare people as I believe all religions do. As Rutherford said religion is a snare and a racket.

Can Someone Explain Horror Movies?
by onesong ini try to be open minded and not judge anything but when i see these movie commercials----.
i think it was saw iii or something, all this blood, gore, shrieking and grotesque violence, all i can do is ask with a sense of awe --why?
why would someone want to watch that?.

I don't like the ones that are all blood and guts no plot kind of stuff. But I like the ones with a plot and startle you like Jeepers Creepers, Hell Boy, Sleepy Hollow, Exorcist, Poltergeist. Chainsaw massacre though forget it.

Why the contradiction?
by JH injw's say that everything about us is in our blood and we are unique, and no one else's blood is exactly like ours.
so, they stress how unique we all are.
no one has the same dna as us.

Anyone remember the talk some years back "You are wonderfully made" Too bad many of the clones didn't catch the true meaning of unique.
