  How to reply to the inevitable invitation to Memorial this year...

  i'm anticipating a series of visitis from the witnesses to invite me to memorial.

  every year i get a few with the preprinted invitation, a couple slightly old magazines, and big smiles.

  these are people who i grew up with, who were kind to me, who honestly think my fade out will cost my eternal soul at the big a. these are the same people who pick up my elderly parents for meetings, bring them food when they are sick, and change their rusted out water heater for them in the dead of winter.

  April KM - Handbill Distribution

  well it is official - the april km has the details of the handbill campaign.

  we are to be given 50 handbills each and start a distribution for 3 weeks before the district convention.

  we are supposed to cover our entire territory.

  the fact that they are coming out with new magazines and new books all the time, can only mean that they haven't found the truth yet.. if they had the truth, they'd be satisfied with their old publications.

  One of the things my wife has mentioned earlier is how to be Christian, one must also respect the environment. If this is the case, why not encourage the use of the internet to avoid all the printing and paper costs, but in that case how would one make a profit, I guess you could charge for access to the website. It amazes me how 'blind' the members of the wt can be and how due to the teachings of the gb, any change can be accepted as new light as the old teachings just fade away.

  i admit i have been a lurker for a few months and now i can finally talk to u guys!

  i want to thank you guys for your honesty on this site and your humor...my husband and i formally dissassociated ourselves from the darling watchtower a few months ago and your site helped us keep our chins up!

  we particularly enjoy blondies weekly commentaries on the watchtower articles!

  XBHere,

  I agree and sympathize wholeheartedly with your post, my wifes parents are I think beyond reform, they have both cheated on each other and done so many things not 'in the truth', but they keep going back for more. My wife also I think believes the theology, but I think by exposing the organization, I may be able to start her thinking at least a little bit, and maybe she can 'investigate' on her own. There is nothing I see positive about the cult like actions of Bethel, and I think some critical thinking of her own may lead her into the same thoughts.

  I noted on the website of the manufacturer that polyheme is made from blood. Does anyone know if the components are those allowed by the watchtower per the most recent guidelines or not??

  Agreed Jeff, wish the correct amount was available, I would believe it has to be in the 100s of millions with the property holdings and the efficient (donated) labor agreements that they have!
